Amber...seriously...I cant have fake salt either? Now thats just mean! Oh well, it wasnt very good anyway. I did much better today. Lots of exercise. I did a little of the yoga. I did the 10 min am energizer and I did the 10 min evening destresser. I did okay on them. Mariel Hemingway was on the am one. She has freakishly long arms. I did 30 mins on the stairmachine and I did 20 mins on the weightmachine. Oh and I cleaned the house also. Not MIL is visiting clean, but clean enough. I am a terrible housekeeper. Horrible cook also. Is it any wonder I'm single? I am a great mom tho, so I guess I can have points for that! Okay, maybe not a great mom, but I have a great kid, so I'm taking credit by extension. :goodvibes

I did not lose any weight this week. So I guess I need to kick it in gear a little. I have feel a little off for some reason, but I can get it going I'm sure. I hope to have time to try the 30 min yoga before I go to work tomorrow. I'm thinking maybe the destresser worked tonite....I took my bp and it was 106/67. :banana:

Okay..started my day with the am yoga dvd. I am not great at it yet but I dont think it will take too long.. Didnt have time to do the 30 min dvd yet tho. I did 37 mins of the stairmachine while watching myTiVoed Greys Anatomy (I love that show). I want to make sure I get enough cardio...not replace it with the yoga and weights...just add to. I am gonna do the destresser yoga before I go to bed tonite. Worked 2nd shift today so I just got home. Heres what I had for food today:

Another day done. Hump day for me, so I'm doing good so far. I got up early enough to do the am energizer yoga dvd before work. I also climbed the stairs at work 4 times(30 mins). Didnt get home til 7:30 but did the 30 min core yoga dvd. I cant quite do it ALL but I did pretty good for my first try. I think it will really strengthen me a lot. I didnt do weights tonite cuz I have just run out of time. I am gonna do the 10 min destressor right before bed. I can really reccommend these dvds, at least for anyone with a stressful job, I think they really help.

I didnt do exactly great with food today. I just felt really snacky, had the munchies for some reason. I also got a new order of nutrisystem food, so I have a mountain of food in my pantry, in baskets on the counters and in bowls sitting around. A months worth of food is a lot, its hard to figure out what to do with it all. Anyway, heres what I had today:

Wow, Linda! You are doing Awesome on your exercising! :cheer2: Sorry bout the salt thing :sad2: but I agree that it didn't really taste to good. I saw where your BP was really great Sunday! Way to go! :sunny: Dh said to be careful though, cause you don't want it to drop too much lower than that. I wouldn't worry too much about that though.

I am impressed that you are picking up the yoga so easily! I was having a hard time w/ anything more than the most basic stuff. I am gonna keep trying though. You are making me want to order those dvds :sunny:

Thanks Amber! I did really well yesterday, but not much today! 2 times climbing stairs for 15 mins...thats it. I started out ok...didnt get up early enough to do the yoga dvd tho. But at lunchtime they brought me a birthday cake. It was all downhill form there. I figured..oh well...todays a bust. So thats all the exercise I got and I'm not even guessing what I ate....I 'm just starting again tomorrow and hoping its not too much damage.

You ARE doing great with your exercise!! So impressive that you are doing a variety of things. I think I'm in a rut.

Keep up the great work, and I agree....if you have a GREAT kid, that HAS TO mean you are a GREAT mom!!! :teeth:

I am sorry you had a not good diet/exercise day. I agree though about not worrying too much about it. All you can do is move forward and start fresh today. :sunny: Hope today was good for you!

You, Marie & I seem to be on similar OOPS schedules :rotfl: We all seem to have our slip ups around the same time. I just find that interesting. We will all get it back together though, I have faith in us! :sunny:

thanks Kim and Amber for the birthday wishes! I have not been able to journal for the last couple of days, just crazy busy and tired I guess. I had some stuff with my son ...I tried to be a good mom but am completely inadequate sometimes. He tried out for an AAU basketball team and didnt make it. It was a two week tryout and it pretty much took everything out of him. He wasnt surprised that he didnt make it, but he is still really disappointed and I kept trying to cheer him up until he told me to stop it cuz I was making it worse! :confused3

I think I may have just broken up with my BF. I know for sure I just hung up on him. Its really bad timing as we have several trips planned, one for next month. I am just not sure I have the energy for it tho. He has a kind of negative energy that is sucking the life out of me. I just dont have much patience for dwelling on issues. :guilty: I am one of those...fix it...move on kind of ppl. Maybe why I'm single? All I know is....I want to have fun. :cool1:

Anyway...(moving on)...I didnt track my food today. Itwas kinda bad cuz we went to hometown buffet. But when I got home I did 60 mins on the stairmachine so that should make up for some of it (not all, there was a brownie involved)

Anyway...wish me luck I guess. Dont worry tho...I'm very good at single! :hippie:
 
Bear with me. I am trying to get back to some level of normalcy. I cant figure out exactly whats wrong, but I feel Icky. Have for several days now and I cant seem to shake it off. I'm starting to think it may be hormonal. I changed my prescription last week and I think maybe I'm adjusting to it? I was on the patch and was having terrible probs with it so I changed back to the pill. Now I feel kinda insane tho. Its freaking me out. I have been crying off and on for 4 days and I am just not like that. I am hoping it will stop soon, maybe my body just needs time to adjust.

Anyhow, I had a busy day again. My son had to get up early and sell donuts (Krispy Kreme...yep you know it). Then I had to take my doggy to the vet for her shots. Then take my son to get a haircut (he got a faux-hawk, he looks like a rock star). Then I spent a couple of hours taking to some guy in India about how to set up my router (nope, its still not working) then I walked the dog. then took son to a party. Then did weights, then stairmachine. I will do the yoga destressor before bed.

So I dont know how many calories I had today....scads tho. Krispy Kreme donuts. So wish me luck, I didnt even weigh myself today...pretty sure its not gonna be good when I do.

BTW the BF called this morning and pretended nothing happened. I'm not sure what to think about that, but decided I have too much going on to worry about it right now.

90 mins exercise today tho...556 cals burned. :hippie:
 
Hey Linda....hang in there! Hormones suck! Can I say that or will it get bleeped? :confused3 I think we all get that way, and ya know what? It's ok!
Also, there is nothing better than a warm, right out of the oven, Krispy Kreme donut, especially when you're hormonal!! Heck, there are days I could eat the whole dozen!!
You are doing great w/ you exercise! Keep it up!
Don't have any advice on the BF....I hang up on my DH all the time...really ticks him off....that's why I do it!!! :teeth: will have 15 yrs in Nov...we pretend alot of stuff don't happen...that's probably the only reason i haven't killed him and fed 'em to the pigs yet!! ;)

I'm sorry to hear you've been having such a rough time. :hug: :flower3: Hope it is getting better. I hated what the pill and the shot did to my hormones! I hope your body will adjust soon. :sunny:

I am sure that you are a Great mom! You wouldn't be so hard on yourself if you weren't. You are there for him and try to make sure he is happy, those are great qualities. Unfortunately you can't always make everything better, even though you really want to. He knows that and I'm sure he knows how hard you work to be a good mom! :)

Good luck with the bf thing! I know what you mean about not wanting to dwell on the negative. I know it will work out for the best though. It is tough to be single, but it is also tough to be with the wrong person. You seem to have a strong enough sense of self that I know you will figure out what is the best for you! :goodvibes

You continue to do excellent on your exercise! Even though you had a busy day today, you managed to get a lot in! Way to go! :cheer2:

I have been in computer Heck all weekend. i thought it was all fixed after spending 7 hours talking to techies from India but when I got home tonite I still couldnt get on line (wireless) I hate computers. i finally found out that my Nortons Worm protection was showing my IP address as a worm! And the message said "computer default is to deny access' So I disabled it, but now I'm not sure what will happen, if now I'm gonna get a bunch of internet worms or what. Anyway...its 1:45 am so I really dont have time to log everything from today...but I did get 40 mins of exercise anyway. I better sleep now. :hippie:

Thanks you all for your support. I have really been struggling this week for some reason. Still not quite right and I cant get it all together yet. I have been struggling with my diet and frustrated that I havent been able to lose any weight for a couple of weeks. Been snacking at night and feeling Hungry all the time. I have been exercising tho, so hopefully that will help. Tomorrow I start again with a vengeance.

Work has been crazy busy. I havent had time to do anything exercise-wise there. But I have been doing it at home. I bought a new pair of running shoes today. (no, I didnt go to a running store, just Dicks sporting goods) I got nike air 30-40. Thats what it says on the box anyway. It says pre lives on the shoe. Anyway they are running shoes and I got them a size larger like marie said to. (I think it was marie) So far they are very comfy. I only walked in them tho and only for 20 mins. I want to break them in slowly. Last year when I did this running thing I had a terrible time with blisters, sprained ankles, and even a stress fracture so I am going very slow to start. I also bought a really cute running suit... :sunny: :sunny: yellow! I am so yellow! I remember as a kid my room was yellow...not pale...bright sunshiny yellow. So was my first car (fiat X-19). So I think yellow is very good karma. Actually I just had a thought..my bikini in college was bright yellow too! one of those string bikinis that you lace through the bottom and tie around your waist if anyone remembers those. (I still have it in my bathing suit drawer..you never know...it might come back in style.. :rotfl2:
Anyway the running suit I did get a size medium...(in jeans I am a size 10 or 12 now it just depends) and I used to wear a large so thats something. ( Looking for a small this year tho).

I decided to stop worrying about the sodium right now and concentrate on calories for now. I am simply trying to do too many things at once. I had 1085 cals today and 35 mins exercise. I will start logging again tomorrow so I can keep better track again.

I managed to get 2 days off next week (spring break) I had to just about sell my soul to do it tho. It really stinks that I cant even get it off when I put in for it a YEAR AHEAD. This was supposed to be the week we went to orlando but I had to reschedule it, obviously. So, anyway, me and my son are going to stay at a nice hotel overnight with an indoor pool and go to six flags 2 days (its open for spring break). Then we are going hiking for one day. There is a nice state park about an hour away with a lodge and we will stay there and hike one full day. I am a big time hiker and my boy has been going with me since he was about 5. (I have to drag him now, but I tell him he will thank me later) Anyway, we will be having fun next week for a few days anyway.

It was beautiful weather today, so maybe spring has FINAAAALLY arrived in the ohio valley! Later ya'll :hippie:
 
Yea! I finally feel like I am back to my normal self. I had today off from work so I got to sleep in. My work schedule is so ridiculous, staying up til 2 am some nights and getting up at 4am a couple of days later that I think that is really the culprit in my weight issues. Anyway, I did get some stuff done today. My house if halfway cleaned and my errands are done. I think I will reward myself with a movie tomorrow.

I tried out the new shoes today. I did the walk 2 mins, run 1 min interval training for 30 mins. I had no problems whatsoever. Then tonite I did 15 mins on the stairmachine too. The running was easier than I expected for my first try. I'm not saying I could run the whole way or anything but I wasnt panting or anything either. I'm going to take it slow though and continue with this for awhile.

I didnt do too badly on my diet today either. Heres what I had:

Hey Linda! :wave: Way to get back on track! :cheer2: Glad you got your running shoes and are liking them. Great job on your first run/walk! You are already doing better than me! I count my runs and stop at 6 which is way before I get to 30 minutes :guilty: I will get there though :sunny: You and Marie are going to be good motivation to keep me working on it!

Your spring break plans sound really cool! It sounds like you will get some really good exercise in too. I think all the walking you have to do at Six Flags is definitely exercise. It is hard to say how much but it is definitely work. :teeth: A pedometer would be pretty cool for that situation. Hiking is really fun too! Glad you can still convince your son to go with you. What a fun thing to do together!

The last time you posted your BP it seemed to be doing better. I agree that you can't take on too much at one time. Your exercise and diet will help w/ the weight loss which will help w/ the BP. Then when you get down to your goal weight if you are still having issues w/ the BP, you can work on that more. I bet though that it will work itself out when you loose the weight. :goodvibes

Keep up the good work and don't let that work schedule get you down too much. I kind of understand what you mean. I used to work at Starbuck's and had to be there at 5am sometimes. I would eat ALL Day on those days! Luckily I didn't have to do late shifts too often though. That would Really mess me up! I don't know of any secrets of dealling with the different schedules :confused3 but I know you can do it! You do really well on your eating and exercise most of the time! :sunny: We all get off track sometimes and you always get back on track. That is the most important part! :cheer2:

Thanks Amber! I am feeling more back to normal now. I had a pretty good day today, at least so far. I did my walk/run again this morning. I was a little sore, esp my calves but I was still able to do it. I went a little faster I guess because I had to go farther to get in the 30 mins. Then I was a little too far so I ended up doing 32 mins today. So I went a little over 2 miles. Tonite I did 28 on the stairmachine to make it an even hour.

My son went golfing today and he was being picked up at 9 this morning (rough for a 14 yr old). Anyway I went in there at a little before 8 and woke him up and said" OMG you are gonna be late, Jim will be here any minute!" Then he looked at the clock and said no mom its only 8 hes coming at 9. So I said, but we changed the clocks last night so it 9! He freaked...jumped out of bed,,, said mom why didnt you tell me to change the clock? I didnt April Fool him until he was getting in the shower. :rotfl2: He had a good day tho, shot an 87 ( I guess thats pretty good for 14, he was happy).

I didnt stop today until now really. My house is CLEAN at least for my standards. I had to return all my receivers from my Dish network satelite since I got cable. I think they try to trick you so they can charge you for them. You dont have to just send back the receivers you have to take this thingy off the dish and take the switchboxes off the outside of the house and return them. If you forget anything they can charge your credit card. A scam I think. It made me certain that I wont be a returning customer for sure. Anyway that took quite a while, and then I had to cart them all to the UPS store.

My BF is out of town this weekend. He is most of the time thru the spring and summer. He called a couple of times today and I couldnt think of anything to talk to him about. Nada. Dead air. I dont know why. Probably cuz I was just so busy I didnt feel like taking the time to do nothing and sit and chat.

I have been buying these salad packages that are called "very veggie" I really like them. I got one that was iceburg with snow peas and carrots and today I got one that was baby leaf with brocolli and carrots. It was good, and I dont have to worry about wasting food, if I buy the veggies separately I always have leftover that I dont use. And this is easy. So I'm a little lazy as far as cooking goes....theres worse things to be isnt there?

Well I got my exercise in today, but it was all walking, no running. My legs were SORE . I walked around 4 miles though, 68 mins so that was ok. My food today was horrible though. I had a snacking problem early in the day.

For some reason the nutrisystem site isnt letting me see my food entries. I logged my stuff on their site and usually just transfer it over here because it has all the calories etc. It has the total cals--1054 and cals burned 408, but it doesnt show any entries so I will have to try and remember everything i had today.

Tossed Salad with hard boiled egg and fat free dressing and bacon bits

I cant figure out what it is in those rice cakes that once I start I cant stop eating them. Well anyway, after I did that I knew I had to cut back the rest of the day and so I still did ok on the cals.

The scale showed 1/2 lb down this morning but I dont know if it was just fluctuating so I didnt log it. I really need to start losing again if I expect to meet that June goal of mine. :hippie:

Thanks marie. I used to work at Burger King when I was a kid, so I guess thats why I cant seem to get past the whopper thing. You know what I really like those malted milk balls too.

Anyway, the 1/2 lb loss was an illusion, I was afraid it might be. But at least it wasnt a gain. After all those rice cakes esp. I did better today, esp exercise I did GREAT! :banana: I got up early this morning and went out to do my walk/run thing and decided ahead of time that after I finished the 30 mins walk/run I would just continue walking around the circle again for a 3rd lap. (the 30 mins takes me just a couple of houses past mine after 2 laps). Well after the 30 mins I was still feeling ok so I kept up the walk/run intervals instead for the entire 3rd lap, so it was 41 mins altogether this morning. Then I did 20 mins walking later this afternoon while at work. So I was very proud of myself for that today. And the menu was ok too, at least no cheating, all nutrisystem stuff or veggies etc. Here it is:
