Limited edition magic band

I will be traveling to Disney next month to run in the Princess Half Marathon. Today I found out that someone my sister works with found the limited edition Princess magic band for me my question is how do I link my tickets etc to the limited edition magic band. Should I wait until I arrive at Disney or should I call before I leave? Thanks!!

Enter the unique number on the underside of the magic band onto your Disney account online and it will be linked

Your tickets and MagicBand need to be linked to your My Disney Experience account. Your Fastpasses are chosen and added to your account.

When you get to the Parks, the MagicBand provides the link to everything in your MDE account.
