Lime ribbons, nobody wore them

What happened to the Lime colored ribbons Dis people were supposed to wear? We were to DW for 10 days the beginning of Aug. and I didn't spot not even 1 ribbon. Before our trip the boards were loaded with people saying they were tying lime green ribbons on their suitcase,purse, hair or pinning them to their shirts or hats. What happened?
The only reason I didn't wear any,was the day before our trip, people back,mentioned that they too,didn't see anyone display the ribbons in any way.
Didn't want to be the only one that did,although I thought it would of been a fun way to maybe meet some of you. Did anyone ever spot the lime green ribbons before?

I have mine on always and usually run into DIS'ers here and there. You did not wear yours, others may have thought likewise, therefore, no lime green.

I wear lime green ribbons on every trip and DIS people have spotted me every time. The last time, the two who approached me were NOT wearing them...but knew what the ribbon meant. In 2000 at a DIS meet on the Boardwalk, I noticed that a lot of people wore them as hair ribbons or a simple looped ribbon worn as a pin. If I had seen them in the parks, I would not have approached them as DISers. I tied a few curled 5" lengths to the back and front of my waist pouch. Every time, someone saw them on the back of me while standing in a line. Only once have I ever spotted someone wearing them and gone up to them to introduce myself as a fellow DISer.

I always try to have one tied to my back pack.....sometimes they fray and I forget to replace before the trip... but I do try to wear one... my suitcases have lime green ribbons on them... I always know them at the airport.

I had my HomeDepot Mickey attached to my fanny-pack with lime green ribbon and I never say anyone else either. I did get to meet some fellow dis'ers but that was preplanned.

We were in WDW from the 10th-23rd August and had ribbons on my camera bag - never saw any one else with them though

On our first day last year I saw someone with one on in AK - but I didn't like to say anything. This year I will have ribbon on and if anyone see's me say hello - I know I will be on the look out and will definately introduce myself this time

Last July I wore lime green curly ribbons all week. I was spotted at O'Hanas by a non-ribbon wearer. I couldn't find any other DISer's all week!!! Renessa

Last trip I was not wearing one (because it was near IMPOSSIBLE to find any lime green ribbon) but I ran into DISers such as NativeTexan. This was during the DISCon.

I am planning now and have my Home Depot Mickey head that I will be wearing as a pin.

I spotted a lady in June we were on the same safari ride. I noticed it on her scooter. I made sure to keep my eye on the person who got on the scooter. I saw her and asked if she was a dis member. It just made my day to finally meet a dis person. I wish I could of talked with her longer. She was from Texas. So hi, if you are lurking. I was the one in the wheelchair.

I stopped a lady with a lime green t-shirt and asked her if she was a 'diser'. She thought I was a complete wacko! I haven't seen anyone else!

I wore two different lime green shirts, but alas no ribbon last week. I did keep my eyes open (between the showers) for other lime green, but just didn't spot anyone. I will start looking now for the ribbon for October. Just found out my conference paper is at 11:00 on Friday.

Haven't spotted any other lime green ribbons, but I did have a cast member ask me about mine . . . turned out she's a DIS'er, too!!

Uh oh! I use Lime Green ribbons on my suitcases too. Hope we don't wind up at the Airport at the same time.

I recently added a red white and blue ribbon, and each bag has one of those Mickey Head luggage tags too.
You have to do something, everyones suitcase looks the same these days.

I always have a lime green ribbon attached to my backpack. This trip I have pinned a green Mickey Head paint chip to the center of my black backpack and I wrote www.wdwinfo.com in black marker on it. So if you see me this weekend, say Hi!
