"Lime Green"?

I'm a first time cruiser and been reading everything I can find. I've seen several comments about folks shopping for lime green clothing. Is this a private thing, or standard attire for these cruises?

This is standard attire everyone has to were lime green outfits........LOL......This it to identify you as a DIS member.

Don't go out and buy lime green clothing unless you like happen to really like lime green. It is not a cruise thing - its a Disboard thing. Members like to wear lime green ribbons or get the Mickey Mouse paint chits from Home Depot to show that they are Disboard members. We are DCL groupies and proud of it!

Hey, I just wanted a lime green t-shirt to be obvious in a crowd! I didn't intend to find a very pretty lime green t-shirt AND matching capris! At least you'll be able to identify who I am during embarkation, dheller97!

LOL... The kids used to say, "Dad, you can't go out with black socks and white sneakers!" Now, can't wait to get my picture next to Mickey and show the kids me wearing my favorite black socks and my new lime green tennies!

Slightly off topic,but good for a laugh. DH and I bought lime green t-shirts at Castaway Cay during our May cruise. So we are up here in Milwaukee and went to the start of Irish Fest last night wearing our lime green shirts. They attract gnats like you wouldn't believe. Everyone else seemed fine, but we were covered in gnats (as was another lady a few rows ahead of us also in lime green).

So be careful out there when you are wearing our favorite DIS color!

we had ours costom made for the first western cruise. still have the number shall I start a new design for the first 10 day christmas cruise might be something here IF your NOT afraid to stand out in a crowd in the dark ???????????

LOL. I, too, bought the lime green Castaway Cay shirt with the intention of wearing it to DIS meets!

Last summer I bought a lime green tropical dress!
Its definately too big for me now unless I use it as a bathing suit coverup
I did just buy black running shorts that have a lime green stripe down the sides

I have always shown up at the port in the most obnoxious lime-green outfit I could come up with!

Last year, it was a very nice custom DIS shirt, given to me by wdwgoose as a gift - thank you Gary!

But we didn't stop there! I printed up lime green name tags for everyone in our DIS group, handed out lime green 'goody bags', with lime suckers, pencils, gum, etc. We also had lime green ribbon streaming from all our luggage, which by the way makes them much easier to identify on the airport carousel!!

What SHALL we do this year??

Hey BeanoC~ I do the same thing, please don't take my luggage!! LOL!!!!

I still have my green ribbons on my luggage from when we went to WDW last Thanksgiving.. Never could bring myself to take them off!!

I just made these 3.5" round name tags for my family last night, I also made matching luggage tags for our suitcases. Of course, I made us matching lime green t-shirts for our DISmeet, which I have shown earlier.
