Lime Green Ribbons

Are people still wearing lime green ribbons ? I have never seen any. I know I am too shy to wear one, but if I saw someone wearing one I might get up the nerve to say Hi. Would you?

Hi! We are going to be there May 23rd thru the 31st! I'll be wearing my lime green ribbon on my Minnie Mouse ears and probably on my shirt just in case they don't see the one on my ears, LOL, so hopefully if anyone sees me, they will say 'Hi!'

I have never worn the ribbon but I have worn my lime green DIS pin. Several people including castmembers approched me. It was really fun to meet fellow dis fans.

I always tie a green ribbon on my backpack.
Also, got my DH a lanyard (black) with lime green type that
says "DISer"
We love meeting DISers.

I got mine a few years ago. It is a lime green pin that says D.I.S member on top and the old web address on the bottom. It has a red ribbon in the middle that says Pin Trader and right under that is the year 2000. Someone on the board was making them I am not sure if he still is. All I had to do was send him a disney pin of mine and he sent me the DIS pin. Maybe someone else will have more info. Sorry

I was at WDW two weeks ago and I swear I was the only dummy with the ribbon on. I knew from the Boards that a few other posters were at OKW at the same time as me, so I really was motivated. But I saw no one, and my mean old husband mocked me til I gave up!

We're going back in June and I already have the ribbons packed. I will try again!

I was there from 3/20-3/27 and wore my ribbon on my ticket holder lanyard around my neck! I also was using the Swap Stroller that had ribbons hanging from it!! I didn't see anyone else either but it sure made the stroller easy to spot in the parking areas!

Mom2of2, I looked for the stroller too, but there are zillions of them so I never did see it! It's like "a needle in a haystack!"

I grew up in Warren County, NJ. Have in-laws in Milford and friends in Clinton. Where are you? Did you go to highschool in Hunterdon?

I have lime green ribbons on my backpack and also on my luggage handles.
Joanne Fabrics store in my area is closing, and I bought two rolls of Wrights Disney Pooh lime green craft ribbon for $1.00 (regular price $3.99). I will use this for my next trip.

Actually I live in Milford!! I also deliver mail there so I may just know your inlaws! I actually grew up across the river in UBE and Erwinna and attended Palisades. DH grew up in Flemington and graduated from HC.
LOL about the stroller! hopefully as it gets more ribbons it will be more easily noticed!!!! Let's hope so anyway, I mean how many Eddie Bauer strollers do you see that are covered in lime green ribbon???

Mom2of2, "It's a small world after all." I graduated from Warren Hills in 1982, dh in 1981. My in-laws live on Hickory Corner Drive (Road?) and their surname is Zanger like my dh. I am always surprised how many of the folks at WDW -- emplyoyees AND visitors -- are from NJ. It always makes me smiled to hear the unmistakeable East Jersey accents all around. It seems like the whole state of NJ is in Florida a lot of the time!

I will look for the ribbon-covered stroller when we are back in June. And I will wear my green ribbon despite the mocking I will take from dh.

I'm still rather new to the DIS but I'm going to be sure and wear my lime green ribbon of some sort when I'm there. My fiance laughed histerically when I went running down the hall one night saying that I had been "tagged". He loves the DIS for all the money it has saved us on this honeymoon!

It's road lol. It's not my regular route but I have subbed it a few times and know the road pretty well. Yeppers! It's a small small world!

Mom2of2, I will let my inlaws know all the WDW postcards I send them should arrive safely! I actually am getting ready to print out and mail them some photos of OKW and the kids on Main Street, etc. I am planning on a WDW photo for our Xmas card this year.

I'll be watching for that stroller...
