Lime Green Mickey's

From time to time, I have read on this site that board members wear "green mickey's" to signify their membership! Can someone give me a little info please? I'd like to pic some up (what's the color name again?) before I go!

Good question but one I don't have an answer for. I'd like to know too, because I was wondering if there was a way that I could "recognize" other DISers who might be there the same time as us.

I believe it started out with lime green ribbon tied to a backpack, hat, or something else that was visible. Now it's graduated to the Alien Green mickey head paint samples you can pick up at Home Depot. Folks make them into pins. Have fun putting something together. I added my DIS name and the fact that we are DVC owners. You can make them as fancy or plain as you wish! Perhaps other folks can elaborate on this.

But, yes - they have the Home Depot Mickey paint chips that are lime green and you can either gently pull them off their backing or soak them in a little water or just cut them out. People laminate them and use them as luggage tags as well.

I also prefer Sonic....that's the only one I'll use. I have put the clear contac paper on mine to make them last longer. Also put my screen name on it and then hang it off my backpack or fanny pack. This trip, in Nov, I'll have a new backpack, with a lime green mickey head painted on in lime green fabric paint...as well as my PassPorter pin, and two DIS pins. I should be very easy to spot!!!!

You would think huh? I was there for just over a week but spotted noone and was never aproached. I had lime green everywhere. didn't work!

They are the paint samples from Home Depot for the Disney colors by Behr. I think that the color is Alien Green.
