Lime Green and WDW

Finfan, sounds like a plan to me. Would be a relatively cheap item to buy also and each member of the family could have one. I forsee vast swarms of lime green heads wandering the parks in the near future. If they can make those pins that light up around certain attractions maybe the powers that be at DIS could make a flashing light that would work when within a certain distance of a fellow DISers. Hey, when I dream I go whole hog. LOL

okay.....i am all for the lime mickey ears with DIS sc on them....but, don't you think the batteries and fans are going a bit too far???????

In the spirit of the DIS 'nothing' is going too far.

We pontificate over every tiny detail of each meal, critique the CM's every breath, and make intensive plans for vacations five years in the future. LOL


Actually I was trying to come up with some way the hat could keep us hydrated as well without going to the extreme of some of the beer dispensing hats at the ballgames. Got to come up with something discrete and fun.

Still think my flashing lights for when we come near a fellow DISers is pretty good but think I will change the lights for music, a little "It's a Small World" sounds apt.

OK, SG, I was with you up until now, but you've gone too far with It's a Small World!!! No way, no how, and I am so glad that ride will be closed for my upcoming trips. Can't be the music on my hat, even though I do like the idea of lights and/or music when it gets near another Diser.

I had to go two towns over to find the lime green mickeys at Home Depot! All three shades of green were gone from both Raleigh Home Depots. Either the color is VERY POPULAR or we have some DISers here in Raleigh.

T&B, I can see your point. As per your request the DIS visors will come with a variety of music. Mine, will however, play IASW in honor of a dear friend. LOL What will yours play?

How much do you believe the going rate of such a delightful, depraved and delicious (if I can get the beverage thing worked out) item would be? I am figuring it would have to be somewhere about $20. Could have a Value, Moderate and Upscale version though. Upscale would come with all the bells and whistles and includ conceirge service in that someone would actually accompany you through the parks and perform formal introductions. Works for me. LOL

Hope the powers that be are monitoring this thread. I will even waive my right to royalties if I receive the first prototype visor and a lifetime supply of Beverly. (should be about a sip every decade. will take me that long to forget what the stuff tastes like before I want seconds)

I am off to dream the impossible dream, follow a rainbow etc. etc.

I am headed off to bed, have a arduous day ahead of me tomorrow but saw Pumpkinfish and had to drop back in.

Glad I could be of service. I am always available for a smile or laugh. LOL I decided that the flashing lights would not work as you might not see them on your head and they would be most distracting in a ride. "Please turn off all cell phones and hats please!" ????

Have a bit of fine tuning to do before we get this baby in production. Please feel free to add your finishing touches. Will not be ready by Saturday but maybe next trip. LOL

BTW, you did not tell me if you live near Charlotte.

It would be hard to miss the lime green fanny pack:

Maybe you could take two DIS lime green antenna toppers and stick them to a headband to make antennae!

There would be absolutely no question about whether the lime green identified the wearer of this tshirt as a DISer!

I bought my DIS pin and shirt before they offered personalization. I love wearing them though. I even purchased the antennae ball, but alas, the car we rented, didn't have an antennae - but I left it visible on the back window. Personally, I would never approach someone who was just wearing lime green with no specific DIS identification, e.i. ribbons, or official DIS stuff. I wear a tassle of curly lime green ribbons attached front and back to my waist pouch every day on my trips and have always been spotted at least once.

I just visited the DIS shop last night and boy what a great time i had. You know shipping is FREE right now over 40$ AND the shirts seem to be on SALE for 14.00! I got me and dh a shirt, i got the pin, lanyard and fannie pack for ME and my dd's 4 the shoe ids! WHat a great idea for those shoe id's you can never be TOO safe. I loved the idea of the mickeys but i don't live near a home depot and not everyone would know what those are for. I know when i see someone with dis stuff on they are my dis family of friends. I'm like others i'm not out going enough to approach any one just wearing lime green. I hope some of my dis friends will say hi to me i'll have on my lanyard and fannie pack everyday staying at WL oct 8-12 hope someone says hi OHHHH i got the button to partyofsix-tammy what a great idea. I'm gonna pin that on my lanyard.

I have been laughing since I got home!

I just went to Home Depot after I got off work, and went to pick up some Home Dept mickey's...well... there was no green mickey head's left!!! I stood there staring! No greens...no SHADES of green!
I am just wondering how many "secret" DISers are out there in my area. Some might be upset that all the green mickey head's were gone, but I look at it as a positive sign!

Since I wear "reading glasses," I made a few pins out of Sculpey clay (using the Home Depot "Mickey" as a pattern) and had a wire loop coming off the bottom to hang my glasses from. On one of them I used a combo of "glow-in-the-dark" Sculpey and my "lime green" clay, and also sealed it with "glow-in-the-dark" craft paint! Now that was way cool!

Oh, and put me down for the "lime green" visor! Visors are about all I wear, and I would love one (hmmm..... I wonder if I could take a plain white visor and paint it with fabric paint......hmmmm.... too many ideas; too little time!)
