Look in the paint department. They carry a line of "Disney" paints (the colors are themed to various character-types). Some of the paint chips are actually "Mickey" head shaped. Quite cute. I grab up a few almost every time I'm there. I think the LIME GREENs are more of less in BUZZ LIGHTYEAR colors.

I got the Mickey heads last year. I wrote my SN on one and put it on my lanyard. While we were at the Millionaire show, a young woman got into the hot seat and she had done the same thing! So afterward I introduced myself to her. Also, I had some laminated and attached them to my luggage with cable ties. Makes it easy to spot my luggage on the baggage carosels!

For my next trip I'm doing the Home Depot lime green mickeys.

OK! So I went out to Home Depot this morning and picked up a few that I will hang on myself and my family as we trek through WDW.

On a roll, I also picked up a lime green short sleeve shirt at Walmart, but I can't wear THAT every day!

OMG.......i did the EXACT same thing!!! i also got a paint sample mickey head and wrote "1st visit" on it and stuck it on my son's shirt......(see below). also: (while we recharged our video camera at the baby care center, the CM there addressed him by name (GoH badge) and asked about his first visit to MK. Minnie Mouse also pointed at his 1st visit sticker and put her hands to her cheeks in an "oh my" gesture...he got a kick outta that!!) at craft stores you can buy a "make your own sticker" machine. turns anything into a sticker. well, i happened to have one of these (from another project) and made ds his own lime sticker! i didn't think the sticker would stick to the backpack, that's why i decided on the 2 glued together with hole punch for ribbon method.......great DIS minds think alike!!
but, i only saw 2 people with lime on...and they were plain shirts. they looked grumpy, so i didn't ask if they were DIS....i even had dh looking for lime....

I hope that your trip comes swiftly so that you may feel better!!! I know you have been feeling under the weather and you deserve a great trip!

To my fellow DISers, are there any other ideas besides the lime gree hats, shirts, and Home Depot Mickey's? As you see, my trip is slowing approaching and I am taking all these ideas down!

After I saw Buzzlady's pin on another post, I ran out and got the lime green Mickey heads from Home Depot, some small key rings from the hardware store and a pin kit from Michael's. I made a similar pin and used the other Mickeys by gluing them back-to-back, putting stickers on them, and writing DIS on them. I had them laminated at Staples (got some strange looks) and put the key rings on them. I plan to attach them to our luggage, lanyards, fanny packs, etc.
Bubba's mom - I LOVE the first visit idea - looks like I'll be back to Home Depot and Michael's!

depending on your hair length, maybe ribbon, barrette or ponytail holder?? jewelry? bandanna to tie around your backpack/fannypack? or maybe paint yer face? ---nah, just kiddin' for that one!! i'm sure i could think of more, but been a long day....will keep thinkin' and maybe another will come along with some ideas!!! btw...have a fun trip!!

Thanks so much for those ideas. I have longer hair so I could find some lime-green hair ties and hair clips!!! Maybe some lime-green butterfly clips (I usually wear pig tails or pony tails so my hair won't get all ratty!).

Possibly a flourescent lime green cap with a whirlygig atop that flashes out DIS!!!! Hey, it is hard to find lime green. Seems easy when you are at home but when you are there, with all the wonderful distractions, it is hard sometimes. I look for the biggest smiles and the people who are not stressed and seem to know where they are going next. LOL

Ahh, gee Pumpkinfish, I am flattered that you noticed that I have been dragging lately. I am saving my big meds for my upcoming trips to NC and then to DW in October. Are you going to be there then? Thanks for the nickname, I am just too old and lazy to write out the whole thing. LOL

Hi Pumpkinfish (gotta know how you got that tag) I am headed to Charlotte to meet a group that I have played trivia with for years. Will be the first time I have met any of them in person. They are spread out all over the world and the US. One couple left this morning to fly in from NZ. It is so exciting. Not sure where the Outer Banks is even though I lived in Fayetteville for a short period of time. I need to brush up on my geography. Will be a quick trip back as I am expecting a houseful of company for a family wedding when we return.

Just looked at the map and see that the Outer Banks are quite away from Charlotte. As much as I would love to have lunch with you I would not ask you to drive that far. Maybe we will meet on another trip. We go to Ashville quite often as well. Love the Grove Park Inn and Biltmore. Just realized that you did not say you lived in the OB so maybe you are closer to Charlotte?

I hope the weather cooperates and gives you good weather for your trip. I called my sister in Florida and left a message asking if she was alright. She called back, laughing. She is in Las Vegas and will not be able to leave until a day later because of the storm. With her luck she will end up winning a big jackpot on that extra day. LOL
