Stitchis my husbands favorite and I just booked the breakfast for the last day of our trip. How is it. There doesn't seemto be a lot of food. Do they keep filling certain things up if we eat them? Is it a long meal? We have 9:20 am reservations. Will we have time to drive back to WL before checkout time?

THANKS

It's an all you can eat meal, so whatever you need mroe of they'll bring. The only time we ate here I was 5 weeks pregnant and my morning sickness had just kicked in so the only thing I could bear to eat were dry Mickey waffles and our server kept refilling the bowl for me. The meal is as long as it takes for you to be seated and eat-so if you don't wait long for your table and eat fast you'll be out of there quickly, but otherwise you can linger around.

'Ohana is our favorite character breakfast now. 1900 Park Fair, Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys are all #2 now.

Stitch is a hoot. Lilo, Minnie and Pluto are also there (or were the last week of June 2006).

The fresh fruit is wonderful. The coffee is great. The food comes out on a family plate. Fruit plate (pineapple, catelope, watermelon, honey dew and strawberries). You also get a breakfast plate (scrambled eggs, sausage, Mickey waffles, potatoes). Your server will give you more of anything you wish. The fresh pineapple was just yummy

Breakfast is about 45 min to an hour. If you are a bit in a rush just tell your server - or just relax and enjoy !

Also I think WL check out is 11 AM - but you could ask for late check out
for maybe noon or 1 PM - depending on availabilty and the time you want to leave to return home.

We can not wait to return to eat at 'Ohana again for breakfast. :goodvibes
Enjoy !

It could be cutting it close if you don't get seated right away...you could always go earlier and hopefully you'll be seated by the time of you ADR.

I am not sure what time of year you are going however I had a 9:20AM ADR this past end of March (not yet Easter time) on the day we were checking out and never got to enjoy my ADR. Got there at 9:15AM to check in. Checking in line was a 40 min wait. Finally got the podium mind you just standing in line to checkin at 9:55AM 35 min past my ADR and was advised it could be another 20-30 min wait before we could be seated.

Needless to say I was not waiting since my family and I were starving by now and needed to go back to the hotel to check out (got late checkout) and catch ME to airport. Ended up using my new AP to go inside MK one last time and get breakfast at the Main Street Bakery and cool pics of the Castle on my cellphone.

I was VERY disappointed in the logistics at Ohanas and missing Stitch and Lilo. I hope for everyone this was just an off day. Just be warned. Last day out would not be a good idea.

We did this breakfast in april since stitch is also ds 14 favorite character. We have 2 other hungry teens 17 and 16 and we were not impressed. We really arent big breakfast people. It was good that we didnt have to wait on an actual buffet line like the other breakfast places but we still had to wait for our adr, got a bad view, I really didnt care but I am sure other people would have, we were right next to the wood they use for the dinner etc. Our server disappeared at times and we never knew where she was. Our glasses were not refilled promptly and we asked for extra on some things, mostly the waffles. They were brought but no syrup or butter. I waited and waited because she disappeared again. Lilo and Stich were good but our server was terrible. I did a dining review. I think her name was danica or danielle or something like that. The only thing that made it bearable was knowing we were getting a 20 percent discount with my dde card. If you have kids the parade entertainment is cute too. I dont think we will be going back anytime soon.

We love the Stitch breakfast! There is plenty of food (just ask if you need more of anything...my husband is particularly fond of the waffles) and you can take as much or as little time as you need to eat.

Checkin can be a bit problematic if it is crowded, but we've never had to wait too long (it's just 2 of us and no kids yet, so we can squeeze into a little table with no trouble). If you are pressed for time, I would suggest being there to checkin 10 minutes or so before your reservation. Also, you might want to utilize express checkout at your resort and have bell services hold your luggage or just leave it in the trunk of your car. You can get a 3-hour pass to park for breakfast at the resort so I would just hang out for breakfast and enjoy the resort for a while.

Whatever you decide, your husband will love it (and you will too). Have a great time! :stitch: :stitch:

Will we have time to drive back to WL before checkout time?

Stayed at WL but did not go to Poly. Is it faster to drive, or to boat over to Contemporary and jump on the monorail?

I did the Stitch breakfast the first time with my mom last Dec and we enjoyed it very much. However, I took my GD back a couple of weeks later and had a terrible time there. We arrived before they even opened for our early ADR. I requested a window seat as soon as we checked in. When the hostess started to seat us at a table way on the side, I again asked for one of those tables for two next to the window. She glanced at the empty tables and just said 'no'. She then proceeded to tell us that Lilo was sick that day so we'd only see Mickey, Pluto, and Stitch. Ok, no biggie! When the waitress came to take our drink orders we told her she didn't need to bring the pastry basket as neither us wanted the pineapple bread. They brought it anyway. When she brought our skillet out it was cold. Huh, we were the first seating of the day how could the food be cold?:confused3 . We finally waved her down and she said she'd replace it immediately. We never saw her again until we sent another waiter to get her at the end of the meal, so all we had was a glass of OJ and a saucer of fruit. Mickey and Pluto were great, but just as Stitch got the table next to us the parade started. After the parade he apparently forgot where he was in his rotation, because he missed three tables (including us). The table next to us waved a waiter down and explained what happened so he went to get Stitch. He came over and took a very quick picture with my GD. When she tried to stand up next to him, he put his arm on her head and leaned over and wouldn't let her. I wanted to get a picture of both of us together with him, but he just waved and walked off when I asked him. My GD was really upset and said 'maybe if I'd done an autograph book again, he might have stayed long enough to at least say hi and let us get a decent picture'. By this point our OJ glasses and that saucer of fruit was long gone and I had had enough. I still couldn't find our waitress so finally waved another waiter down who apologized and went to get her. When she came and realized we had never gotten our skillet she apologized and said she'd go get it right then. No thanks! we just wanted out of there and asked for our ticket. You would have thought she would have given us a discount since all we got was one glass of juice and a small saucer of fruit, but no she charged us the full price. I was about to explode by this time, but my GD begged me not to make a scene, so I didn't. I still can't believe I paid that much to see just three characters, and get just a glass of OJ, and a few bites of fruit. We left and went to MK to eat breakfast at the Main Street Bakery as my GD was still hungry. She also didn't appreciate not being able to stand for her picture with Stitch and to this day will tell you Stitch was mean and rude to her.

I did the Stitch brkfst solo this past March.
DS14 & I have it planned again for Aug 17th - after we checkout of VWL while on our way to check into AKL.

That's horrible! I can't believe you never even got your food!

WOW! You are made of tough stuff - not to say anything! I understand, but still - what horrible service and an even more horrible memory! popcorn::

Here is a link with pictures of the food. It lasted about 1 hour and 15 minutes for us with a 7:30 adr. We were one of the first ones in there so we were seated quickly. YOu can request a late check out if that will make you feel better and no be rushed. Just call a day ahead and ask for a late checkout. :)
