Anyone know if Lilly Belle is currently running and if you can still line up to try and get a ride? Thanks. Heading to DL this coming weekend for a few days.

I saw it running last week... but I don’t know if it was „privat“ or if you can just ask nicely and hope for some pixie dust...

We asked about riding it in May- I believe they said it's only for tours now :(

If you are into Disney history, it is a great ride and a fun experience with many things about the car when Lil was alive. Hope you get the opportunity.

It is not available for riding in unless you do their special railroad tour.

The Lilly Belle is part of the "Grand Circle Tour". You can take the tour, which includes the Lilly Belle.

We were able to ride on it 10 years ago as part of one of the tours we booked. I have several pictures and considered it to be a major highlight of our trip.

I rode it the year they closed the railroad for the refurbishment. It was a great history lesson. I was not on any tour. Just pixie dust.

Same for us. Just checked in to see if we could and were told to come back at a certain time.

We’ve ridden it many times by just asking very nicely, at Main St station only as it is only a round trip and only loads at Main St. I’ve heard reports of it being only opened up for tours or Club 33 off and on over the last many years, but we’ve never been told no. It can’t hurt to ask ;-) Go to the conductor at Main St station early in the day and ask if there is a time it will be open.

As of about 9 mos ago, it was removed from use for anyone except the tour. Have you been able to ride in the last 9 mos?

The Grand Circle Tour has been around less than a year so it has been restricted since that tour started. It is the main selling point of the tour(since the tour doesn't include visiting the round house, the Lilly Belle really is the highlight). So I doubt they will let people just ask for a ride as long as they are trying to use it to push people to book the tour.

For the record, my DH asked about it two weeks ago (just to check) and was told the only way to ride in it now is by taking the tour.

Hold on- there's a "railroad tour"?

Yep - the Grand Circle Tour :) I was so excited to book this for my DS but didn't because it doesn't include seeing the round house (and we have already ridden in the Lilly Belle a few times).

Love Trains? So Did Walt Disney
Get a behind-the-scenes look into Walt Disney’s love for trains and discover the impact it had on his magical creations. On this eye-opening, 2-hour tour sure to delight railroad enthusiasts, you'll:

Start with a Treat
Enjoy a beverage and a specially-themed donut to steam power your walk through Disneyland park.

Step into the Past
Walk through the park listening to stories about where the steam behind Walt’s train creations first started. Understand the impact trains have had on Walt Disney’s dreams—from animation and film all the way to the theme parks.

Take a Special Ride
After your walking tour, climb aboard Disneyland Railroad’s special parlor car, the Lilly Belle—it’s not usually available for Guests to ride, but on this special tour it is! Take the new scenic route along the Rivers of America to see landscapes inspired by 4 of America’s majestic rivers: the Mississippi, the Columbia, the Missouri and the Rio Grande. Each are carefully recreated, complete with indigenous rock formations, natural forests and wildlife and 5 picturesque waterfalls.

This is a unique opportunity to understand what’s behind some of the Disney magic.

This.

As previous posters have said only part of the grand circle tour. I would love to do this tour but have done the Lilly Belle a few years back
