Likely hotel price glitch - will they honor it?

We managed to book a hotel in Vegas (4 star on the strip) for $29 a night on Easter weekend, it was a typo I the email was supposed to be $129. But because we booked before they sent the correction they honoured the price!

And another vote to Caicos Best Western, had a horrible experience in Clagary and dealing with the "customer service" was painful. Couldn't understand why I did not want to pay $200 for a night when the bugs kept me up.

Well I'm all checked in, no mention was made! Obviously I won't see the folio until I check out Saturday but I can certainly challenge the fact after checkout if necessary!
I think you are fine. Enjoy! :goodvibes

Can you bring your folio up on the TV and check it from there?

Yes! Good idea. I'm at the pool right now but will when I get back. Since I'm fairly confident now, I'll tell you the hotel is Bellagio in Vegas for $51 a night. They'll get the money back from drinks/food/gambling I'm sure, but now I have extra money to spend!

Oh. In that case I'm not surprised that they didn't make a fuss about it. I was thinking maybe some hotel operation where the manager could get in serious trouble. They're almost 4000 rooms, and if there was a glitch for just a few they'll probably just eat it and forget about it.

And Bellagio always knows they'll get a little extra...that 30ish dollars a day in resort fees.
Anyway, you're in a great place. Have a wonderful time, enjoy some delicious dinners!

This happened to me many many years ago--booked a room at the Bellagio for $29 a night in Las Vegas from Travelocity. I exited the site then went back in and the rate was still there. Called them direct for a phone reservation and the agent had the same rate. Booked it online, and printed my confirmation. By the time I thought to call my friend who we were meeting in LAS, the rate was gone. She chastised me for not getting her a room too, but I was just so shocked at the rate, I hadn't even considered it :(
A few days later, I got a call from the Bellagio. Thanks to caller ID, I didn't answer. Someone left a generic message but didn't say any details about my booking. I never called back. Showed up to check-in and was prepared to have a battle (I would've fought any change in my rate tooth and nail), but was only given my room key and a smile. It has never happened to me again, but it was one of the best hotel stays that I ever had! Since Vegas has a ton of rooms, worse case was that I'd have to pay rack rate @ arrival or look for cheaper rooms elsewhere if it was too much, so for me it was the worth the risk. I say go for it!!

Edited: Just saw that your glitch was also at the Bellagio!! I might have to start stalking their site again to see if I can 'luck' into another deal like that! Enjoy!

A friend of mine tried to book a room at a Best Western for her family, I think it was last summer. Although she didn't have to inform them ahead of time, she let them know that they were bringing their sons' service dog. He has a rare seizure disorder, and the dog alerts them to when he is going to have a seizure. A couple days after making the reservation, they called her and canceled it, because they don't allow "pets". Last I heard about it, corporate Best Western ("parent company" or whatever they are), demanded they cover all of their signs at that hotel, and they could no operate under the BW brand until further notice. I don't know what ever came of it, though...I should try to find out

So many Best Western stories so I'll add one. We were driving straight through from Maryland to Des Moines, IA many years ago and pre-paid to have our room held for us regardless of arrival time. We got there at about 10:00 pm just as they gave away their last room (ours) to the couple in front of us in line to register. We were livid but they said the only thing they could do for us was find us another room and cover the cost. We ended up in downtown Des Moines at the Hotel Savory. It was a closet sized room with twin beds, no TV and in a scary neighborhood. The only good thing about it was the 24 hour cafe which actually had great sandwiches. For years, we called it the "Unsavory Hotel" and swore off Best Westerns. It took us months to get our money back from that BW. Thirty plus years later having no other last-minute choice we stayed at another BW near Yosemite NP. It was okay but nothing special and the rate was expensive. I think we'll stay away from BW if we can in the future.

I simply don't like Best Western-its the low end of Hotels, IMO
We like Marriott and Hilton Brands ( Hilton's Homewood suites in my very fave chain!)

and yet my worst Hotel experience was in my favorite Marriott in Connecticut....a HUGE Latino Dance competition....kids were running the halls, parting young adults all night...at one point all 6 elevators were stooped at high floors-security had to RIDE in each elevator to stop the pranks.
I got 2 free nights on return trip for that nightmare,

Hilton chain keeps room till 6 am next day-that is terrible!

Make sure you didn't inadvertently click on a discount code. That sounds like an employee rate... depending on the system, you could potentially book the rate, but not have the proper ID to get that rate when you check in.

That being said, if it is an "incorrect rate" any properly run hotel would honor it, and then take up any losses with their corporate office.

I would point out that a lot of people get special rates, especially with invitation only rate discounts or player card members with tracked play. So they might not find a low rate all that unusual at a casino hotel.
