We're taking our elderly parents who will need an ECV. They're rather mobile given their age, so we don't need the ECV's full time. Rather, just in the parks. Therefore, we're going to rent onsite.

We're going to get ECV's for them in MK, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom. I plan on getting to each park about 15 minutes before they open every day.

I know ECV's in the parks are first come, first served. Given that we're going in late September, and given that I'll be at each park for opening, I assume the chances are very good I'll be able to get ECV's for them. Opinions or suggestions?

Thanks :thumbsup2

You should be fine! :)

The only thing I think you may have an issue with is if you decide to leave and come back for the day...you don't have to pay for them again, but you run the risk of them being all gone when you get back.

And remember it will take some time to get one...so if you are planning a quick walk to an attraction, you won't make it before the crowds...

Thanks for the reply!

I doubt we'll be leaving mid-day, so that should be fine.

What I'll do is go with my Dad before they open and get near the front. We'll have my wife, son and Mom meet us there, we'll give them our tickets and they'll go pick up some fast passes. Given the crowds in September, we should have plenty of time to see and do the things we want to...

One follow up question:

If we rent an ECV in MK, leave mid-day, then go to Epcot, can we get an ECV in Epcot with no additional charge? Or, is it a new charge because it's a new park?

I called Disney and was told so long as we keep our receipt, we can pick up another ECV (subject to availability of course) at the same park or a different park.
