Likelihood of AP discount for fall?

We've got a trip planned for the first week in Oct. - just wondering what our chances are for an AP discount during that time? This is the first year we've had an AP so I'm unfamiliar with the 'schedule' for discounts...

Weird AP question. Can I get an AP for just myself, or do I need to get it for my whole family to get the discounts? My sister and I are planning a trip for the fall, and we'll most likely take the whole family next year, so....I'm thinking of getting an AP for myself, and hoping to use the discount if there's no GP discount....

You only need one AP to book the room. Everyone else can have whatever ticket you choose. And I can't imagine us not getting an AP discount for the fall.

Yes , there will be discounts, I have had an AP for years and there is always a discount. However last year I was really upset, as far as Nov/ Dec AP discounts, they released the general public discount a day before, and then AP and I wasn't paying attention and by the time I called at noon the day the general one was released, the deluxes I wanted were gone...I let them know that I thought an AP was useless if they were giving the general public a first shot at it, when in the past they always gave it to AP holders first. I dont know when they release it, I want to say soon though..next month maybe?

There will be AP discounts but they may not me out until right before you go. The AP rates seem to be coming out later and later this year. Basically the AP holders get the "leftovers" as far as room bookings go.

We book our airfare when it hits a good price. We are flexible with our resort and room category so we usually wait until the AP rates are released to book.

AP rate for fall (oct-dec) came out in mid August last year. September thru early Oct dates came out in mid June, so be looking the next few months for offers to pop up.

I was going to ask the same thing.....specifically for the BC.

Last year during F and W we couldn't get AP rates at BC but if you are going after that maybe.

We got one last year--that is how we were able to try the BC for the first time. I don't remember it being 'that' cheap, but it was definately cheaper than the price I currently have booked for the same time frame!!!

True! AP discounts used to come out much earlier. Since January, they seem to be coming out after the general public codes. I know for my april 29th-May 8th trip they didn't come out until about three days before the 45 day mark. I was getting a little panicky.

When I was at POFQ this past week I booked two bounceback offers (Sept 10th-18th and Nov 27th-Dec 4th). I needed Nov 26th but it was not included in the bounceback dates, so I told the CM I'd just wait and book it when/if AP discounts came out. She said they'd be out, but not until late summer or even early fall. She also said there was no way they'd beat the bounceback offer this year. I got about 35% off at CSR which is normally what the AP discount is for moderates.

Can I ask what the discounted rate was for deluxes? And, was the Polynesian excluded (it is at a lower rate for the summer discounts, not sure why??) Thanks!

Not absolutely sure, but I think it was 40%. I didn't notice any resorts that were excluded or were a lesser amount. I know I already had POFQ booked for Sept 24th-Oct 2nd with the general public code that came out last January and while the rest of the moderates were 30%, for some reason POFQ was only 25%. With the bounce back deal I switched to last week, all the moderates were like 35% off. Even though CSR is $10.00/night more than the other moderates usually, I still saved $125.65 over the GP code I did have.

Rooms with the bounceback offer seem to be more limited this year though. In order to use it I had move my Sept trip back two weeks and my Dec trip back one week.
