AN ARMADILLO!!!

Stop it! Stop laughing right now! You’re all thinking “so what- it’s an armadillo!”

Do NOT feel bad about the excitement over an armadillo - my family here was making fun of me a few weeks ago because I was all excited about seeing a possum. Okay, yes I know you see them dead on the side of the road everywhere - but this situation was different. I pulled into the parking lot at the park and was driving around looking for a spot when I saw something weird doing circles at the other end of the lot. I drove right up to it and stopped the car to take a look. It was literally right below my nose, walking blindly in a circle. It was still doing it when I drove off later. So weird! No one else was impressed, but it doesn't take much for me:upsidedow

Hello everyone!!!!

I am back!

Welcome back, can't wait to read about the trip!

"No more rhyming, I mean it!" "Anybody wanna peanut?" was the number one thing that popped into my head when I read this!

(mom will buy the first person to name the movie a Dole Whip)

One of my all time favorites! Looks like a lot of you feel the same way:thumbsup2

My name is Inigo Montoya prepare to die.

My mom dressed as Inigo Montoya for halloween this year. Pirate-y shirt, brown pants, boots, sword - and one of those "hello, my name is.." badges that she'd written on "Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die." It was a big hit!

Merry Christmas Liesa, Maroo, and everyone else!

OMG, I think I missed some cool Princess Bride discourse here. ;)

Yes, you are. I was teasing!

Teasing, in good-natured fun, is completely endorsed by me! It's what good threads are made of. ;)

My name is Jordan Yosh and I approve of this message.

I knew you would... :thumbsup2

Merry Everything to Everyone! :goodvibes

AND TO YOU TOO!! Have a wonderful holiday!! Going to make my Christmas bread now. :lovestruc

HA! Yeah, it doesn't take much for me either. THe simple things, ahhhhhhhhh.

:lmao:

That is hilarious!! Did most people "get it"?

Merry Christmas to you too!!! My kids are so excited they are almost bursting; I, of course, am leaking.

You did! I think it's unanimous- big fun!

Can't wait!

I really, really think I will be doing both- a TR AND a Dining Report. Now THAT should be fun!

You guys are going to want to CLICK HERE and subscribe...:rolleyes1

Just did!! I know I don't want to miss this!!

Liesa-

Merry Christmas to you and your family!:santa:

You too, Tim!! I hope you and Mel and Ana will have a cozy, beautiful, wonderful celebration!

You aren't going to believe this!!

That plane that crashed in Jamaica had friends of ours on it! They are doing fine, and "recovering" at the wife's parent's home where they were headed for Christmas. Pray for Andrew, Wendy and their boys as they deal with this trauma.

Our Chrismas is now over, and I'll have to say it was one of the BEST ever!! There are far too many reasons to list here, but the highlights were singing carols together with my Bekka playing guitar, opening some really creative gifts, eating way too many tons of food, and going to our little group over and having a great time playing some hilarious games and sharing with one another what God has done in our lives this last year, and sharing blessings with one another.

Anyway, as you celebrate over the weekend- enjoy!!

Glad you had a great Christmas. I'm back, very behind, but just going to jump back into the swing of things when you start up again.

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to you too, Jessica!!

I just woke up (it's 11;30) on the day after Christmas. My living room is a disaster zone with Legos and crap all over the floor. Good news is I don't have to cook AT ALL today- I very nice perk for having worked my hiney off yesterday.

:woohoo:

Hopefully, a little later today, Rations Drop Clue #4 will be up for your pleasure. :3dglasses

Ok I am so far behind I am just going to jump in here. Now that I know it isn't a problem to Dis from my job I should be able to keep up. It is still Christmas here so I will say Merry Christmas and I hope you had a blessed day.

Thanks so much!! I DID, I DID!!! It was wonderful in all respects- my WHOLE family is home (oldest son from MK school), the food, the packages from so far away, my water was on ALL day, as was my electricity; it was great!!!

I saw you posting on some other reports yesterday, and thought you'd make your way back here soon!! Glad you "back with us"!! ;)

I am glad to hear that you had a GREAT Christmas. We are having a blizzard here in my part of the world and my dh has been stuck at an Embassy Suite next to his job as he HAS to be there and can not miss work. He has works for a company that needs to be open 24 hrs/365 days a year. They pay for the room and for his food. Since he has the car and I am not able to go to work or anywhere else for that matter, I have spent the past 2 days catching up on the Dis. I am very thankful that we had our Christmas on Tuesday since he had to work today anyways. My dd who is 4 would not have understood that we had to postpone Christmas.

Having just watched the movie UP (that I was lucky enough to find here in Stink-A-Stan) I am feeling a bit cathartic (Gosh, I just love that word ever since the inception of TK's report some months ago!! :lmao:) I was just thinking that that movie is such a beautiful portrayal of LIFE. Life in the most ordinary, yet miraculous sense. I love the message that life's most amazing adventure is just living it itself- found in the ordinary things. That doing life together with someone you love is nothing short of just peachy!

How about this for "adventure"? Who argues over doing the "tooth fairy thing"? Last night I was elected to put the odd assortment of coins under the pillow in the required repository. Except, this is child #5, you see. So being smarter than your average tooth fairy, I passed the buck to child #2, who promptly dropped the tooth into the bedding after said cash drop. :scared1: So I ended up doing part of that job anyway. So much for trying to get out of that adventure. Ever wonder what the words ARE to that song about getting teeth for Christmas. I didn't either, so here they are (just like you, I have no idea what the tune except for the chorus):

Every body Pauses and stares at me
These two teeth are gone as you can see
I don't know just who to blame for this catastrophe!
But my one wish on Christmas Eve is as plain as it can be!

All I want for Christmas
is my two front teeth,
my two front teeth,
see my two front teeth!

Gee, if I could only
have my two front teeth,
then I could wish you
"Merry Christmas."
It seems so long since I could say,
"Sister Susie sitting on a thistle!"
Gosh oh gee, how happy I'd be,
if I could only whistle (thhhh, thhhh)

Little girlie DD looks great in her brand new Tink costume- I wonder if the real Tink ever lost her tooth on Christmas?!!

Well, that's enough nonsense for now. Here is your next Rations Drop Clue. I'm obviously a very bad judge at how tough these are- or aren't. Let's see what comes of it.

To add ambiance you can see a smoking volcano, but it's not dark inside here.
They serve rice and beans, but they aren't refried. You can order ocean food, but not the kind with flippers. And for your own sake, you might have to get to know your neighbors.

My guess is : -->Teppan Edo..but don't know about the beans?

I'm glad you had a great Christmas, Liesa :santa: So funny about the assistant Tooth Fairy losing the tooth in the bed! Would love to see a pic of the lil one in her Tink costume...Piper has never been into "frilly frilly".

Is it Teppan Edo? Knowing you, I think "sake" is pronounced sah-kee. Nice touch. ;)

My parents' tooth fairy tradition was for us to leave the tooth in a glass of water in the kitchen, not under the pillow. We've done that too -- much easier!! The hardest part is remembering to do it...'cause I like to wait a while in case the child comes back down for some reason or another.
