Between this and an email from Noah's Mom today...you guys have made me cry TWICE. Good tears.

No results yet. But my other doctor is now calling for me. He was ticked that I don't know yet. I am so tired. I think knowing I can't sleep (the tech basically told me the test was abnormal) is making it worse. So I am trying to drink lots of diet coke and get over it.

I didn't mean to make you cry but I knew you would want to see what she said. I hope your doctor can get the answers. Lots of diet coke might be the problem!

I knew those were falafel balls (yummy!!) I wasn't sure if Marakkesh served falafel, but I knew Tangierine did so I went with it!!

Congrats on being the only one with the right answer!

It was the fafalel that threw me. I was thinking fritters...then churro's but knew they weren't tortillas (they actually looked more like pizza dough than pita's!) but DUH, I should have gotten that. Maybe I've never seen them outside of the pita before?

I totally thought the dough was pizza dough but the only place I could think of with pizza was Pizza Planet and I didn't think you were going there. I had no idea what the grease balls were - I've never seen a falafel so them in the pita would not have helped. I've even been to Morocco and was still clueless!

Just a quick drive-by post here, guys! I have 8 coming for dessert in about 15 minutes- made choco chip cookies, brownies and apple crisp! Yummo! We asked this team to bring in a boatload of stuff for us. I hope, I hope, I hope they brought popcorn and some new movies!!!

Anway, I'll be on in the morrow to give you the newest Rations Drop AND some new thoughts on my/our trip. Could it be I'm going to be "forced" to plus up again??

Do you still have your WII Fit? Try doing some of the yoga. I sleep better on the nights that I do the yoga and strength training.

I really thought a lot about Lauren last night about her life being school and that's it, because of the energy it takes her now to do things. She's a teenager and not getting to be one. I do hope you all can get her to realize that while school is incredibly important (and I am very proud of any student who realizes that), her health is also incredibly important. If cutting back a bit in school is what she needs to do, I pray she will.

My Wii is broken.

It will probably be Monday before I hear back from my study. Two weeks. BLAH.

She will definitely cut back if she is able.

She is going to Homecoming tonight! I will hopefully have pictures to post! I am sure she will be beautiful!

You guys want to join my protest??

Did you guys know that the price of the CD went up to $149?

It is only $99 pre-paid for families staying onsite. But they consider Give Kids the World to be "offsite" and are making them pay the full price.

This even applies to our wish families (from many organizations, including Make a Wish) that stay at Give Kids the World.

I have sent emails, made some phone calls and the "final" answer from Disney PhotoPass is that families staying at Give Kids the World have to pay the full price for PhotoPass CD's.

These families have magical moments on their trips that are only captured on PhotoPass. These are treasured by many of these families.

So - I am officially protesting the decision by Disney PhotoPass to continue to charge these families $149 for the CD of their pictures.

I am confident that Disney will change their policy - and when they do, I will do a THANK YOU campaign, too!

I am sending out the following message on Twitter and asking all of my Twitter friends to RETWEET it so as many people as possible can be aware of the issue!

I am also asking everyone I know to send letters directly to Disney PhotoPass asking them to offer a deep discount to the families staying at Give Kids the World! The letter can be very simple. Maybe your kids even want to draw a picture and just write a short sentence on the bottom of it? We just want a bunch of letters to go out about this.

They just send form responses back on email. Not really effective.


But one idea that I really like is getting kids to draw a picture of something Disney and write on the bottom that they hope Disney Photo People will help the wish kids.





ANOTHER Prayer Request:

I know...I am beating down His door. I hope you will join me.

Lauren is SICK. I know I said she was sick this week...and she was. Went back to school Thursday. But now I am home with her (my day off - woo hoo!) and she is SICK. "I think I am going to die" sick.

We have called the doctor. Lauren is afraid it is the "real" swine flu. Maybe she didn't have it before and she has it now.


Here is the rub. Tonight is HOMECOMING. She has a dress. And a date.

Please pray that she can feel better long enough to go to the dance.

Life is so short. She is going to this dance. If we have to pump her full of Tylenol and Advil or whatever to feel better!

I know that most of these families have been through hell and any have to pay for so much OOP... doctors, meds, transportation, etc. Instead of using their money to pay for the PP they could put it towards a character meal or souvenirs or whatever. Some of these wish trips are the child's only chance to ever go to WDW. Heck Disney should give it to them for free.

I'm going to head over there and see what's up.

As for Disney sending form responses, this is not true. In the past few weeks I have received two personal phone calls from Disney about letter that I wrote. Someone will respond, but it might take a little while!

Girl...that thread was CRAZY. Some crazy responses. And it is still kicking. I am going to try to quit watching it, since I have pretty much explained everything and the issue is solved.

I am sure her parents are not sleeping either. They will call me when she gets home.

I know the wish trip thread is over there on the community board, which I am subscribed to, but I really can't stand that board. I rarely ever go on it. I can't understand how your post got turned into a PP share debate. I also don't understand how it got turned into a free debate? I think some of these people are very bitter and really don't get it. These Wish families are a unique situation and while I understand that Disney does do a lot for them, charging them more for photopass isn't right. It can only imagine how much it costs Disney make and send a PP CD- $3-$5??? Asking people to write Disney for the same opportunity to have the GKTW families PURCHASE the CD was a good idea. I guess next time stay away from the community board, people love starting a debate over there.

I am not sure if the GG are different. But in the past I have been able to book 2 rooms under one PIN. As long as the person that was sent the PIN is in one of the rooms.
