I seem to be constantly attacked by laundry, dishes and kids too.:rotfl2: and lately a weiner dog with diahrrea has been thrown into the mix.

This soldier is doing the same thing...dishes, laundry, straightening up for the housekeeper..;)

Thanks for the welcome maroo!

I'm going with Flame Tree BBQ.

they have great onion rings and you can sit right near the water and look right over at Expedition Everest.

Another vote for Flame Tree for the same reasons AND they have a great pulled pork sandwich! This is one of my favorite places to eat! :thumbsup2

Also, I had Casey's right (also remembered discussions involving a balcony, but did not "catch" any of your hidden clues), but I didn't get on here before it was revealed.

Hiya, this soldier is plain ole' pooped. On top of daily mom soldiering chores I had added part time job to the mix a couple months ago which has been turning into nearly being full time hours, guess this soldier is too efficient. ;) And there is the planning our first family fun filled Walt Disney World adventure I'm preparing for, but that is fun, wish I could do that all day for a job :cloud9:

And to add to that I'm attempting the homeschooling thing with Jack since we got wait listed for the pre-k program this year. Going to pm you for information on books and other supplies.

So my guess for the week, Flame Tree BBQ, that is on our list too ;) I was going to say take lots of pictures for me, but I'm going before you :lmao: so that won't work :rotfl2:

an "Upgrade" already??? :surfweb:

Oh you tease you!! ;) ;) ;) ;)

I like how you address us in "soldier speak" Of course I'm battling in Basic Training - and I'm lucky I have a dh that will battle the dishes!! I may have to trudge out to a laundromat to slay the Laundry Monster :laundy: ah well, such is life!!

I'm highly (NOT) anticipating my turn at the 3am online frustration so I can call and :worship: beg for ADR's But I wont have to battle intense heat if we choose to eat outdoors in Animal Kingdom - I hear the sandwiches at Flame Tree BBQ are quite delish...

:cheer2: Maroo :cheer2: Keep fighting the good fight, one day at a time!! :wizard:

Hi Sandy!

Yes, it's a daily battle- those regular, icky chores we have to trudge through every day. I long for my Week O' Freedom with the girls!!

You added REAL basic training !!! I am so impressed with your progress- GO GIRL, GO!

Yes!!! You are one of the lucky winners this time. I'll add a point to your score.

Again...I don't even know where we are eating? Or am I just tired?

I am glad we got a pay raise! :yay: I could get used to these monthly upgrades in rank and pay! Do we get any extra vacation days? :confused3

And I can't see your ticker...I think it went to sleep. Mine goes to sleep fairly regularly. So do I. But I digress. :rotfl:

Happy Monday everyone! :)

Yes, I noticed my ticker was "sleeping" a couple of days ago, too. Whatever, I know exactly how many days we must train for 'til that Victory is sealed up!

Pay raise- yes, what to do with that? HA! Like Peter Pan says, "if you dream it long enough, it will come true!" LOL! :lmao:

I want to take a guess at a restaurant in Animal Kingdom... but the fruit platter and fried onions are throwing me off! :confused3 Especially since they are used in the same line...
Kathy

You get half a point for getting the right park, Kathy!! Congratulations! Yeah not many people know you can get a REALLY yummy fresh fruit platter at the Flame Tree. We got it last year; it comes with a tasty yogurt dip and feeds easily 2 as a side dish! MMMMMmmm!:cloud9: The order of onion rings is ginormous!!! We got 2, and with the other stuff we ordered, we ended up giving one entire order (untouched) away to a super sweet Brit family.

I'm going with Flame Tree and dining al fresco!

Shannon!! Good for you! Yes, one of the most neat parts of our whole time in AK was eating by the Lily Pond in the shade. It was so tranquil and peaceful!

I'm guessing Yak & Yeti?!

Ooops! Not quite, but you do get half a point for going with somewhere in AK!!! BTW, how's your planning coming for your spring break trip?? Going now to check if you've started a PTR.

I seem to be constantly attacked by laundry, dishes and kids too.:rotfl2: and lately a weiner dog with diahrrea has been thrown into the mix.

EWWWWWW!!!!! That goes way beyond basic training!! You deserve a purple heart for that, cuz like that's just goes WAYYYY beyond the call of duty, Soldier Cherie!! Seriously, call out the chemical warfare!!!

I'm going with Flame Tree

:)

Congrats on the upgrade soldiers!

Hey Cynthia!!! Score for you! Have you ever eaten there?? I can't remember from your TR.

Thanks on your upgrade congratulatons. You know how we love to promote ourselves! :lmao:

HUH!??!! YOu have a housekeeper and straighten up for her?? Or did you mean for your roommates to keep happy?? I really do have a househelper, and believe it or not, I actually DO find myself straightening up for her once in a while. :lmao: My anal tendencies just don't seem to ever die! :rotfl2:

The view from FT is great!! I remember looking over the water to the mountain and thinking of how pretty that little spot down by the pond really was!

Hi There!!! Thanks for playing along!! OK, then, YOU now have 2 points!! One of those few in the lead. I'm still trying to figure out what the prize will be for our game. I'm sorta thinking about maybe going with a pin- cuz they are sorta like medals on a soldier. What do you think?? But, like last time, you have to claim your prize IN PERSON!!! :lmao:

What do you mean you couldn't ketchup any of our clues?? :lmao:

AAAHHHHH, battle fatigue, huh?? Hmmmm... what can we do to help our fellow soldier out?? Wish I could give you a day off, my friend! Alas, I live too far away. Could you drop something out of your heavy pack to lighten the load?? Anything you don't need to carry?? Are you required to hoist such long hours at work? or is that something YOU are adding??

I saw your PM, and will answer it later today, while you are hopefully getting a GREAT night's sleep. ;)

YUP! One point for you! You get your rewards of good soldiering long before me. YOU'LL have to take the pix for me!

There is no Mrs Jordan and thank DAD for that...I'd be impossible to live with...we do have a housekeeper who cleans 2x a month.....I'm OCD...really...I think I am...but not overly so....I don't think..maybe I am...;)

You know... I immediately went from posting here over to yours, and lo and behold, there it was-------- the cram-a-thon your roommate is having in his computer room. I busted up laughing cuz I knew I had just posted that you were trying to make the Mrs. happy- :lmao: and THERE IS NO MRS!!! :rotfl2: So, I tried to beat you back to mine, but didn't. I thought I could edit my faux pas out in time, but alas, you're quicker on the draw. Soo.... there you have it. The truth and nuthin' but the truth.

That kind of mess would drive me insane, by the way.

It's his room. He just closes the door. It only bothers me when I have to find something in there....maybe Jimmy Hoffa is in there somewhere.;)

I play that game with the edit all the time!! lol

I could say that I'm mortified, embarrassed, and all that, but I think you all know me better than that by now. :lmao:

Sorry, Jordy. I can at least say that. I'll do better next time. :rolleyes1

First of all, I wanted to chime in, and draw your attention to our poll!! Lookie there!! An extraordinary thing has happened in the last few hours that I really never expected to see.

Upgrading our resort AND getting PHs and having a sig. dinner are TIED!!!!!

That certainly throws a monkey wrench into planning now doesn't it. Not that we're really going to let a poll result determine things too much, but it is VERY interesting to me to see this!!

I think at this point, getting PHs is a done deal. Honestly, I can go either way on this! I can spend all day in one park and be perfectly happy. If the line for BTMRR is packed, I'll just go on the Liberty Belle. There are so many little things I haven't done in a long time, that I'm dying to do in my freedom of not having a big group to lug around with me.

I'd love to upgrade to the Poly, but I just can't see the funds being sufficient to do it. We talked about the possibility of a split stay, but we're still very unsure how that would work out.

Anyway, I'm not sure what my point is, except, that I was surprised to see an even split here!!

What do you think?

Most of you did a fantastic job guessing the last Rations Drop! I ate here during my last trip, and simply loved it. I'm heading back again for some more of that yummy BBQ sandwich they make. CircusGirl got the ribs, but I'm stickin' with the meat on a bun- which is absolutely not comparative to your humble authoress.

My problem with this little game you folks are playing is that I'm having a hard time playing it; I can't remember what I eat where, and what the places looks like. No lightbulb moments for me. :sad1: SO, if MOM (ahem, Mommy) doesn't tell me ahead as to where she's going, I won't be able to guess. . . .

Aye! pirate:

I didn't know FTB had onion rings?!?

We might have to try some of those! :thumbsup2

I always get the ribs! YUM!

Well....

The deal is sealed!

I wanted to stay at the POLY...

And we certainly had side conversations about doing a split stay if the right deal came along.

But on one of my podcasts...they mentioned...

That...

The Poly....

does not have a hottub.

:scared1:  :scared1:  :scared1:  :scared1:

Seriously!

I was so shocked. I didn't believe them. Really? :confused3

I even asked on the resorts thread. :rotfl2:

I can't believe it.

Can you believe it??

I've heard the same thing. I can't imagine what they were thinking when they redid the entire pool area and didn't put a hot tub in. Crazy!!

Hey Cynthia!!! Score for you! Have you ever eaten there?? I can't remember from your TR.

Nope. I wanted to. It was my BFP for AK day.

We had eaten at HDDR review the night before.

It was warm out.

My beloved husband looked at me like I had 3 heads and said

BARBECUE? AGAIN?

and thus a deep and enduring love relationship was born between Yak and Yeti local foods, their African Amber and...PORK EGG ROLLS! officially the best snack in the world. Ok, it'll be deep and enduring AFTER we go back and have it again.

It's his room. He just closes the door. It only bothers me when I have to find something in there....maybe Jimmy Hoffa is in there somewhere.;)
ok now I am disturbred.

Maroo

Really? No HT at the Poly? methinks you are right

Recreation at Disney's Polynesian Resort provides fun for the entire family, with 2 pools, 3 beaches, surrey bike and watercraft rentals, a children's activity center and access to a health club and spa.

The Nanea Volcano Pool, one of two heated pools at Disney's Polynesian Resort, features a 40-foot high volcano as well as a waterfall and a 142-foot tubular waterslide. Nearby is a children's wet-play area. The beach end of the pool requires no steps to enter or exit, and a specialized water wheelchair is available, allowing access directly into the pool.
The Poly East Pool, also called the "quiet pool," offers deeper depths.

No mention of a hot tub....and there is if you look under recreation on the other resorts
