We have never had a bad meal at the Liberty Tree. We have not done the dinner, however, but I have heard great things about it. If a normal lunch is great a character meal there should be even better.:D

Did you post your dates in my who's going database? Check my link for more info. :)

As for free time, I will PM you my cell phone number. Best way is to wing it a bit while we are down there. So far the best days will be the 14th PM or maybe the 18th in the AM.

Who knows.

Kind of off topic but did anyone here ever eat at the Liberty Tree Tavern in MK before? Can you post here or PM me with your experience? We are thinking of trying it for dinner one night and I hear it's a character dinner?

Thanks!

Hi Fred!

My DD and I ate at LTT back in October. Good comfort food- turkey, mashed potatoes, pork roast, green beans, stuffing, mac & cheese, salad and cherry cobbler for dessert. Lots of food for the $$. Character interaction was good- they came by twice during the hour we were there- saw Minnie, Chip, Dale, Pluto and Meeko. Mickey wasn't there- I don't think he is schedule for that meal.

LTT is sponsored by Stoffer's so that kind of gives you an idea as to the food. My DD (6) loved it- she is a total mac & cheese, meat and potatoes kind of kid at this age.

Though not one of my total favorites (Boma and O'hana are currently my favs)- I would definately go back.

Have fun!!

Thanks for all of the reviews everyone! Looks like we will give it a shot. We plan on being in MK that night anyway so it is just convenient.

As for Boma, we LOVE the buffet breakfast there and will be doing it again this trip. We also will be doing Ohana for Dinner. I love the all you can eat BBQ they have. :)

Of course, Japan and Italy are planned for Epcot meals.

Ya know, it's funny, one of the main things I look forward to at the world is the food. :) Anyone else??? (Please say there is..)

Right there with ya, buddy. For some reason, they have some of the best foods down there. Only less than desired food was Prime Rib at Concourse Steakhouse in CR. Everything else seemed to be great though.

I'll back you up ( hey, a DMB song ) on this Fred..I get giddy when I call for my PS..my favorite is California Grill..MMmmm....PORK CHOP!!!!!!

great, now look what you went and did...

You definately aren't the only one :D
Yumm yumm yumm...... I can't wait!
DH and I will be at VWL from 1-10 till 1-17.
I'll say hi if I see you guys!

You are not alone. You are right, Fred. My DH and I always look forward to the food. That is one of the biggest parts of planning, where to eat. We just loved BOMA for dinner. We also look forward to the little treats here and there. Dole Whips, French pastries (EPCOT), the chicken wrap sandwich (Roaring Forks), etc.

The last time we were in EPCOT, we tried the fish and chips in England, I am not a beer batter person, but they were great. Very surprised. Moist fish, crispy coating. Very good. We will try them again.

Definitely food is one of my Disney favorites. ::yes::

I with ya! The other day I was in a group and the topic of Disney came up (that happens a lot around me for some reason  ). Someone said...'Well you don't go to Disney for the food." I was thinking...'Yeah you do!' It's one of the reasons at least...

Hey, I didn't see YOU in my Who's Going database either! Sign up! Just click the link in my signature. It's really a way to see who else is going from the DIS when you are. Helps setup meets if you want to.

As for the food, I am glad that everyone agrees with me. Of all the planning, the most goes into, "Where are we going to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner, on yada yada day and yada yada time?"

Now to decide for the REST of our meals!

Fred

I have a new favorite, last November we stopped at Tony's Town Square and tried Calamari Fritti - Crispy Calamari with olive relish and drizzled with caper aioli, it was sooooo good.

I plan my whole trip around where I'm going to eat

HEY! Anyone got balcony view pics they want to send my way??? I haven't added any in a while!! Send em on over to wdwwl@majesticnetworks.net. Don't forget the room #s ok?

As for other pictures, I am all for expanding our current collection but please keep duplicates to a minimum. :) (As in, if there is a picture that looks like it is already there, I probably won't add any more like it.)

Thanks everyone!

Fred

Roy - You posted a room # that was off the balcony, right above where the water comes out of the lobby...what is that room...id the lobby loud at night??
I can't find the thread because the search is down

Thanks!

I was going through my notes today and I found these room locations. What I had as a description was: Rooms that open out into the lobby but face towards the water.

Rooms: 5079, 5077 and 5075.

I hope this helps, but I bet someone could be more specific.

I had it posted on AC's thread

I was able to get more info from a source AC & I have. Hope this helps you.
The lobby rooms on the 5th floor (there are 4 that are non-smoking that look directly out the back of the resort – 5073 (king)/ 5071/ 5069/ 5067, there a great view of the pool, geyser and lake. It is wonderful to watch the electric water pageant at night and the sun on the water in the day. As soon as you walked out our door you could look down over the lobby.

UPDATE:
These are north wing numbers. You want to request “Bears Face”. There are also rooms on the 3rd, 4th, but could be blocked by trees to see the lake or EWP.

5073 (king)/
5071/
5069/
5067/ two queen

Roy,

Are those rooms on the Northwing? I 'm confused about what I had in my notes. I remember writing these down and saying that these would be great because they open up onto the lobby and they face out towards the water. I know I was on the Southwing side, but I thought those numbers started with a 1 and the Northwing started with 0.

If I am wrong let me know and I will disregard my notes and make sure I look at AC's thread. Thanks.
