Ahhh....thanks for the cool views. Almost makes me feel as if I am there. :)

We have a possible trip coming up in the "very" near future but it looks like we aren't going to be at the lodge. :(

If all goes well I will let you all know when and where.

HOLY COW.... Leaving in 2 days!!!! Where is FC with that weather report. Checked weather.com, according to them looking pretty good:sunny: Might be cool a couple of nights but nothing that we can't handle. Bought the kids some knit hats to keep their heads warm Thursday night. I am sure its gonna be chilly riding the boat back after MVMCP.

Well gotta go make my packing list, talk about waiting to the last minute.

Well, I forgot to fax my room request last night, so I faxed it first thing this morning. Do you think it will still get looked at???? What a dork I am sometimes!!

To everyone going to WL: Lots of PD coming your way for the most magical time. I wish I was goin back!!

Mommypoppins: Good Luck, hope you get everything you want.

Mommy poppins and Ga Girl: PD to you! Hope you have good weather! Enjoy, Relax and soak it all in :)

but it's almost too depressing to see anything related to the WL since I miss it so much! This was our third time there and it really feels so wonderfully familiar.

We had a fantastic time from 11/14 - 11/21 - upgraded to concierge at check in and it was well worth it for us.

The staff was extraordinary! I want to write a letter to someone and mention names .... any suggestions on the best people to write to?

DS (4 years old) lost his fannypack the second morning - in it was a disposable camera, some toys and HIS LANYARD FILLED WITH PINS! Sometime mid-week I asked the staff where the outlets were in hopes that I could find some discounted pins there - I explained why and the next night we received a call asking to come to the concierge desk - Jake was presented with a new lanyard FILLED with pins - Rhonda - the woman I had mentioned the loss to the day before - told Jake's story and collected the lanyard and pins. I absolutely couldn't believe it - I got teary-eyed!

Another story: DH brought his laptop so we could download our pictures from the digital camera - but forgot the cable - he was asking where the best place would be to buy another and one of the staff (Andi) said she would come in the next day (her day OFF) and bring her cable so we could try it!

I couldn't believe how wonderful these people were... and while I wrote thank yous to the staff (in general) and two seperate ones to these two people.... I'd love for their supervisors and the Resort Managers to know how great the staff they have is.

Hi All!

My counter is looking great!! Even though not getting to WL til 12/14, we are leaving next Tues. 12/9 to see my inlaws in Bradenton a few days!

GaGirl, and MommyPoppins! I hope you both have wonderful weather, and great times!! Of course we know you will have GREAT LODGING!!!! PIXIE DUST for both your trips!!

Shopgirl:earsgirl:

I'm sure this is buried in here somewhere, but I was wondering if the concierge upgrade is worth it at check in?

My DW, DD (4) and I will be staying at WL for two nights (standard view) before our Disney Cruise. We absolutely fell in love with it on our trip a couple of weeks ago and can't wait to stay there.

What is the concierge level like?

Thanks in advance!

I was at the WL concierge level mid november (see my post 2 or3 posts above yours)

I upgraded at check in for $50/night - I've heard more or less - I suppose it has to do with what view you originally booked for and their availability.

The big plus is that there is a staff that is available for only concierge guests - they answer questions - make PSs - etc.

There is a small fridge in the room (which otherwise would cost $10 a night to rent)

and there is food out in the lobby nearly all day.

somewhere else in this thread there is a description of the offerings but I can do it here briefly: I'm not remembering exactly.

7:00am - 10:??
there is a continental breakfast with cereal, bagels, danish, fruit salad hot and cold beverages

then there are light snacks mid day

there is a 5- 7?? wine and cheese spread which always had a soup and a hot item

and 8 - 10 there are desserts and cordials

yummmmmmmmmmmmmm

Next year I will have to get tickets to that game. It will be in Tally too, plus I should already be in FL if things go right. Since I have AP's, we are planning a week this summer and another week next Thanksgiving.

Only 18 more days left!!!!!
Aspiring Cindy, I should have that report on the Poly in like 3 weeks.

Ratpack,

When we went down on the 14th, we watched "Wishes" from the Poly, my nephew saw the Volcano pool and wanted to go swiming right then. (first cold night we had here in Florida) I told him this summer we will pool-hop so he can swim, he loved the Poly.

The manager's name there is Marc(k?) and I have his Business Card somewhere. Give me a day or so to dig it up and get back to you. I agree though, the staff there are amazing.

Glad you had a good time.
