sorry, I really dislike it.. the words are too small, and the light blue color is too light.. don't forget, you have a lot of users who are over age 50.

and the choices under the blue bar? the words in white on the light blue bar? ("mark forums read; search forums, etc.) sorry, too hard to read

Try changing styles. Click your username on that top blue bar, then PREFERENCES, then pick a style.

I clicked on the username, and then preferences. the only thing I see that would change it is "dark scheme" which I did.. helped a tiny bit. the choices under STYLES are : dafault, adv. by disney, dark scheme, disney cruise line, DVC, Florida tours, Orlando stroller rentals, and swan dolphin.

no where is ther a choice for larger print, bolder print.. etc.. why not make it a bit larger to bign with and bolder, like it was before?
and none of those styles are print syles anyway (except dark scheme)

a friend told me to click Control + on my computer, which helps. but I am still confused about the preferences.


anyhow, a couple of things I DO like (so I don't sound TOO negative lol) I like the "like" button.. (how do you know who likes what?)

and I like that when you see s post that was quoted it no longer makes you read the entire post.. it says "click to expand"

but gee, make things a littel bigger and bolder.. print shouel NEVER be in white against a light blue background... what is wrong with black?

First impressions are not positive..... Functionality seems to be a lot worse and i dont see any benefit in the new format/display.

Under the old style I could have more control over what I looked at. I am only interested in DVC and previously I had a link that would take me straight to DVC only forums. This link no longer works and instead I have to look at all the content, scrolling through the menu for DVC... A bit of a waste of time.

It's just a case of finding the 'new' ways to do the same things, such as the link to your preferred landing page. I used to come in via ucp.php, now I've bookmarked http://www.disboards.com/watched/threads instead.

Hi thanks for the tip.... Sounds great .... But I don't think this can be done if you use either an IPad or IMAC. it appears the new site is not fully compatible with Apple's software. It's not clear how you select what forums to watch. Some of the new forum menu options are merged with each other.

I am sad to say that I have decided to stop using this forum due to the recent changes. The new colors used and the font settings make it an unpleasant experience to read.

It's just awful. Such a shame that a good site like this could be spoiled by a poor software upgrade.

The colors and the font size are not a problem on both the computers I use plus it looks fine on my cell phone. There must be something specific to your computer if you are having issues. The site itself is fine. Sorry for your trouble. I hope you find a fix.

Totally agree. I haven't decided yet whether to go so far as to quit reading DISboards, though I am close. I'll try a little longer and then decide. But this is definitely a major downgrade from the old DISboards.

I don't understand it either. I am navigating fine on my iPhone and iPad. Matter of fact, 99% of my usage is on my iPad and I have no issues. I don't see what the issues are. To quit is a bit extreme. The watched threads work fine on Apple products. You just need to know where to look and become familiar with the new format. I have used this format before so maybe this is why it wasn't such a shock to me. I just don't understand the outrage.
