I also love the idea of a blackboard in the kitchen and I do like the map on the bench, though I would change it to a world map or a different country can you guess which

oh it's annoying having those bonus points! The boy's didn't deserve to win that, the others kitchens were much better than theirs! Oh well.

You can see my gorgeous candy apple kitchen aid in the background of a photo I posted in the getting healthy thread. I posted a photo of my smoothie and my shiny machine is sitting in the background. It was a limited edition for their 90th anniversary and I saw it and just and fell in love, LOL.... with an appliance.

Yep, PIO, some surfing may be in order. Although I don't think there will be an episode as good as the one the other night with Jamie Oliver, he is such a sweetie.

mmm, I liked both of the girls mystery boxes. I bake a lot, or cook sweet things and desserts, so I probably would have preferred the one with the chocolate. But Julies was good too.

Does anyone have a thermomix?

I see them using them on Masterchef and I think I would love one. But I have a vitamix so just don't know if there is much point in getting a thermomix. They are SO expensive would love to know if they were good, or if they are an appliance that you use for 5 minutes then it becomes a dust collector.

Funny you mentioning the thermomix. I just stopped myself from asking the same question. I have friends that have the thermomix and they are completely in love with it. I've been resisting looking at it and have been resisting their calls to see a demo. They aren't being pushy...they are just so in love with it.

But it seems to be a compelling implement in the kitchen. They have had it for over a year now.

Not a huge fig fan either, but I did try a nice fig jam once. But on Julies, I really don't like eggplant So would force down a fig covered in chocolate before I would force down an eggplant

Oh I won't go to a demo, I have a problem with demos, tupperware parties, enjo parties, oil parties, etc. I ALWAYS leave with large purchases ! So I know if I went to a demo, I'd leave with the machine But I'm worried about spending so much money and then not using it for long and really, that's two weeks accommodation at HoJo's!

I pulled into my drive the other day and there was a thermomix car parked out on the street! Neighbours were obviously having a demo!

Oh I could have a piece of that cake right now! YUM

On British Masterchef, the chocolate fondent was ALWAYs a disaster. In fact, the Brits used to call it the kiss of death. Over the 3 or 4 years, I think I only ever saw 3 people cook it properly.

Yes Mindy's meal looked divine! Those shallot pancake/crepes look SO yummy. Oh I like Audra, she is one of my favourites, along with Amina? I think thats her name! They are my favourites to win.
