I've never fed quail, but, I have eaten quail. Many, many years ago. Don't remember for sure, but probably tasted like chicken? Depends on how my mother prepared it, I suppose. We ate lots of wild game and fresh fish growing up, so none of it seemed odd to us. Even if we didn't like it, we ate it, because that's what was for dinner. It's just what you do when you grow up in a hunting and fishing family. No different than the beef and chicken we ate, which came from area farms, not a grocery store.
