A weekend with Char sounds like fun. Photography, bah...

I don't know - with D loving AKL as he does, we'll never see a "real" deluxe resort. Sounds fun!

So, not long after we returned from our January trip, I decided to take advantage of one of the three weekends in May Leo would spend with his dad and head to WDW solo. I’d be free to photograph to my heart’s content, free of any parental obligations.

Ohhhhhh! How fun! I did a DTD night by myself this trip...it was absolute heaven!

Gotta see where I might want to buy future points, right?!

Of course!!

And then, sometime in March-ish, I found myself talking about my BCV weekend with my dear friend Char and it just popped out of my mouth: “Want to come with me for a girls’ weekend?”

I remember Char! How is she???

By the time I hit the Road to Disney, I’d abandoned the Good Camera in favor of the teeny-tiny camera and pocket full of one dollar bills.

For bar tips, natch.

Ohhhh...phewwww!

Taking a deep breath, I took in the BCV anew, trying hard to notice every detail…

In case you didn't know, and being the experienced DISer that you are, you probably do, BUT I am reading a TR from someone who just got back, and she recommended a Woodsview room on the MK side, Floors 4-6.

LOL, yep I know about THAT view. But I couldn't get Woods for both nights and Gramma doesn't do room switching, so we've got Courtyard.

Nope, in the GF - from the main entrance, it's straight back, on the ground floor. It's the Garden View Lounge in the evenings, but they put on a mean tea between 2 and 6.

Yay on WL! We stayed at WL last September and LOVED it there. And over 4th of July! Sounds fun but kind of scary. Are you going into the actual parks or just hitting water parks?

And great beginning to your next trip. Girls weekends are always a fun thing. Beautiful pictures! Definately puts you in mind of an East Coast beach resort.

First off...I was home on Friday (did something to my back so I called in) so I didn't see your email (which mentioned nothing of an update?) till late...WTG on the WL!! I loved it there! And Gramma too?? I had to back away from the computer, rub my eyes and read it again to be sure I'd seen that correctly!!!

And oooooohhhh on BCV!! I can't wait to read more!! I originally booked BCV for January and then changed to BWV and when I tried to change back they were full....hmmmm....perhaps in 09???

BCV - You are getting me psyched for August as that is where I am staying with Kelly, I have stayed BC resort before but this is the first Villa stay. Can't wait to hear more.

Solo traveling, you have to try it, I love the freedom it gives me.

Thank you! That's it exactly - I grew up on Lake Erie and several friends of mine had family lake houses at which we psent time in summer. They were full of odd-shaped rooms, overstuffed sofas, wicker chairs and interesting assortments of beachy mementos. BCV brought those memories right back!

No Whispering Canyon for us - none of us do well with a lot of noise and noting on the menu sounds very good. But it could be worth it for the Gramma entertainmnet alone!

Love the Solo Photography becomes All Girls Trip becomes Sharin' it with the BFF trip update so far. And I love that you love the BCV. I always thought that if I was to delve into the villas that might be the first place I'd try. And I've never set foot in the BC or YC!
