Like a Bad Meal (V Keeps Coming Back) - THE END! 1/12/09

I'm mostly a lurker but I just got done reading your December TR and thought I'd come over here and read this one too. Especially since I'm getting in before it even starts. Half the time I subscribe and never get back. :sad2:

Anyways, looking foward to all your Disney adventures!:wizard:

V-

The way I see it... You, my friend are walking around WDW, maybe with drink in hand, just about now. Me, my friend...I am sitting here in my jams with a laptop on my lap...as the snow melts again (yes it snowed again!) Wishing I was in WDW, walking around...just like you!

I am thrilled you didn't give up on us. I had faith that you would be back!

 I knew you couldn't resist another TR. :goodvibes I'm all in. :thumbsup2
Somehow, I knew you'd know I couldnt' resist. ;)
The second to last pic is my favorite of you and Leo and I think I like you hair best in the last one. I'm just sayin'.
:lmao: Here's why I'm laughing hysterically: I really like that 'do, too. But it only looked like that for one (1) afternoon. You read me right. A single afternoon was the lifespan of that particular look.
I want to see you with blonde hair.
Oh me too :yay:
You guys saw that, didn't you? My punk stage:

I know- it's covered by the beret, but it actually looked neat platinum-blond. However, the third-degree burns caused by the bleaching agent weren't so attractive. Nor so comfortable. TFI. :scared:
Ooo, Oooo... these are my favorites too! I love 'em and use 'em all the time - not the semicolon so much though. Never got the ;proper; use of them.
I've never understood the semi colon. :confused3
Never fear the semicolon - he's our friend! Since I almost exclusively use Associated Press (AP) standards for writing, I'll give you their run-down on the semicolon:

In general, use the semicolon to indicate a greater separation of thought and information than a comma can convey but less than the separation that a period implies. :thumbsup2

Well, I really must be off; have a ton of work to get done. Yes, 2 sentences WOULD have been stronger Gramma, but....
:rotfl2: Ironic, isn't it, that Gramma prefers the silent treatment over the use of any sentences, semicoloned or not?

Your son sounds so funny...
Thanks, he is! Sometimes. He's also very aggravating. Sometimes. ;)
BTW: What did Leo need the banana for:confused3
Your guess is as good as mine. :confused3 I never did get a good explanation out of him!
I love that your hair trama is such a huge part of your TR's. Perhaps because I can completely relate.
::yes:: But just wait - good news in on the horizon!

I enjoy reading about your trips so much as it seems to be a mirror image of mine...ie life as a single mom with a precocious boy and a loving but sometimes overbearing Grandmother.:goodvibes
You KNOW it! I'm glad you're on board.
It's amazing how much you look like a former co-worker of mine. If I could figure out how how to post pictures I would post one, but if you ever google the name Melissa Cole and meterologist, you may be able to find a piture of her. She's currently working in Hartford on the show Better Connecticut as one of their "It Moms." Look her up and I swear you will be amazed at how much you look like each other.
Okay, I'm totally intrigued, but couldn't find a pic of her...
Sounds fun
Thanks, and welcome!
Hi V!

I read most of your prior reports, and thought I would officially subscribe to this one. Looking forward to it.

Your neighbor in Orlando,
Hi Marita! I haven't seen you in a while - good to have you back! :goodvibes
The elipse is much more important in the world of grammer and syntax. The semi-colon is a lightweight, if you ask me.
Hay! Though, actually... I do love me some elipses.
glad u started a new one. I am so here. :thumbsup2
Woo hoo - hi Scott!
Hi V, Im on board...better late that never I always say.
Absolutely! And you're in nice and early :thumbsup2

Thanks for coming out of lurkdom - it's always so good to meet new DISers on these reports!

!!!!!

It did NOT snow on you again?!?! This is just ridiculous. I'm trying to throw some sunshine your way Jen - you need it!

I love that you've added your hair to your report since we all have hair issues! Right now my hair is about your color, but I'm thinking about trying red (insert correct punctuation here :rolleyes1) ie Heidi Collins below.

And of course I'm looking forward to the Leo and Gramma stories. :thumbsup2

Looking forward to your TR, V. When is your next trip?

OK, have you done red before? Let me share some of my red experiences...

1. The tone is critical - look at your veins; are they blusich or greenish in color? Blue = cool and you'll want to stick with undertones of red and violet. Green = warm and you'll want undertones of orange.

2. Red = maintenance. It jsut doesn't stick very well, so you'll need a red shampoo/conditioner and frequent re-colors to keep it up.

That said, I looooved being red and frequently consider doing it again. :thumbsup2

Just came back from it! :yay: I'm uploading pics and gathering my random thoughts and may have a first installment up in the next week. :)

V! I had forgotten about that picture of you!

Well, that is the first time I have seen that pic and I never would have guessed that was you!

You do look good as a blonde, but the burns sound painful, see I am a natural blonde and wouldn't know abut such things:snooty:

;)

Good advice to keep in mind, thanks. I've never gone that drastic with my color so I'm not sure what I'll do.

Suh-weeet! Another V report. I am making myself a promise to lurk less and post more. After all, someone has to keep your overuse of the semi-colon in check! ;)

V! So sorry I'm late for the party! party: You forgot to send me directions.:drive: :rotfl2: Ok, I love the fact that your hair got a shout out. :rotfl2: Can't wait to see where it ends up.

Oh, and I have NO IDEA how to use the ";", so don't expect to see it anywhere in my posts, K. :thumbsup2

I can't believe that Leo is about to be six! Where has the time gone? :confused3

Ok, I'm buckled up and ready for another ride. :drive:

I knew you couldn't stay away for that long. :rolleyes1

Ugh. Don't you hate that?! I have looooong, thick hair (currently a mocha color (natural) with red highlights. Gawd fahbid I ever want to wear it curly. It lasts me about 3 steps away from the curling iron.

Punk, I know. But all I can think of when I see this pic is that you are so a Material Girl. Living in a Material World. Whilst Desperately Seeking Susan. Or your True Colors. Shining Through (a la Cyndi and not Phil). Or Just Wanting to Have Fun....though she may have been fire engine red at that point and not at all blonde.

Okay...Lord help me....I'm in.
Heh heh heh.

Yay, welcome aboard! TFI - there's no such thing as "overuse" when it comes to the semicolon. ;)

Hi Allie! I know, I know. His Bday is next week and I haven't done much to prepare; I'm having a hard time facing 6. :guilty:

AACCK!!! :scared: While I'll confess to a great admiration for both Madonna and Cyndi, I was definitely not listening to them at that time. More like Black Flag. Dead Kennedys. Replacements. TSOL. Siouxsie. And the Banshees. Ramones. The Clash. And several other punk greats whose names are filtered on the DIS.

But.

I was always "fashion first." You may have seen me sporting some liberty spikes, but only with the perfect shade of red lipstick. :rotfl:
