I have a pair of Merrell hiking boots that were a great asset on my last (fall) trip to WDW. I have flat feet so the hiking boots provided great support for walking around WDW all day. The only problem is these boots are pretty thick and won't be suitable for warmer weather.

We're planning a late spring trip, and I wanted to see if anyone here could recommend a lightweight hiking boot that would be more suitable for warm weather. Obviously boots will be warm during the late-spring months, but I can't wear something like sandals around the parks--my feet will be killing me by noon and I don't want something like that to put a damper on the trip. Any recommendations for brands or styles would be appreciated!

You should look at Merrell and Keen sandals. You would be surprised how much support some of the sandals have these days. I have worn both Keen and Merrell at the parks with no issues. Just as much support as high end hiking boots in many cases.

second the keens! wore them for our Europe trip as I wanted my toes covered(seemed important at the time) on second pair and I love them....
