Do any of you think the Lights of Winter in Epcot will be brought back? Or possibly something like it?

As much as many of us would like to see it come back, I doubt it. Usually when Disney takes things away they seldom bring them back. I a few years you'll find people have mostly forgotten about the Lights of Winter.

Would fellow castmember Bobby be required to authorize the use of $$$ to accomplish it? Answer is NEVER happen.

We now spend our December Disney trip at DL. Too much "Christmas" taken away at WDW.

The more they pull, cut back, homogenize, the less magical and fun it is. Lights of Winter was just as important to me as the Osborne Lights. Just another thing for them to save money with.

While were on the topic of less festiveness at Christmas time down there, does anyone else remember the days where they had huge, extravagant trees (and decorations) towering in the hotel lobbies (i.e. Wilderness Lodge's 6 or so story tree). Now every hotel as a 12 footer and a stupid gingerbread house, c'mon....

Yes, there used to be a huge tree in town sqaure at the Magic Kingdom and also two trees on either side of Cinderella Castle. They were both real trees. Also seems like the tree at Epcot was a live tree and was much larger than the artificial tree is that is now used. At one time, there was a tree suspended from the ceiling in the atrium of the Contemporary.

I really enjoyed the Christmas show at the Country Bear Jamboree. It was put on "hiatus" by Disney and never returned.
