Hi everyone,

Just wanted some reviews on Lights, Motors, Action. My DS who is 13...is really looking forward to this show. :earsboy: I'm curious to know if all of you really enjoyed it? Is it a must-see? Thanks! ::MickeyMo

Hi,

Just like any question that involves opinions, you're going to get lots of positive and negative replies to this question!

Personally, I found it boring after five minutes, but I'm not an action movie guy or a car racing guy. There are lots of people on these boards who loved the show and I'm sure you'll hear from them! MY 17 YO son loved it, my 15 YO daughter hated it.

Also, do a search on these boards, there are a lot of threads on the topic.

I would recommend that you see it so you can judge for yourself!

I thought it was ok... definitely not on my must-see list. But then I'm not really into fast cars stuff. ;)

I saw it in April during the soft opening and it was great!! We didn't see the whole actualy show in a way, they did skip a few stunts, but they did show us what they were supposed to look like on the overhead screen. I say definatly go see it, your son will love it, I know I did. I didn't even think it would be something I like, but I did.

We all really enjoyed it. Yes there is lag time when they are setting up for the stunts. DS is 6 and was really amazed by how things were done since he loves watching car chases on TV. Definitely get a FP in the morning. This one wont keep you from getting another one like the other ones.

I enjoyed the show very much, although they do have some kinks to work out. There were 2 technical problems in the show I saw, which I hear happens often. One of the motorcycles stalled during a stunt and had to be walked off. That stunt never happened. Then one of the stunt cars hit a wall during a spin maneuver, the driver wasn't hurt but they had to bring in a forklift to remove the car. All in all, the show is good, but with some of the crazy stunts they do, I think mishaps are bound to happen. I can almost guarantee that a 13 yr. old boy would love it!

*** VERY IMPORTANT***
Get a FastPass for this show, you will be let in ahead of the non-FastPass people and are quaranteed a seat. Even though the stadium holds 5000, it fills up. There will be a line about a zillion people long when you return at your FastPass time. Don't be discouraged, this is the FastPass line and when they open the gate, the line moves really fast. At the 1:00 show that I saw, I would say that 90% of the people had FastPasses. The few people that were let in after us were placed at the far sides of the stadium, not terrible seats, but not the best either.
:moped: Enjoy!

I thought the show was highly entertaining and my sons (3 and 5) wanted to go back and see it every day of our last trip down.

I agree with the fast pass advice. Its weird to walk down there in the morning because there is not much going on except for people going for fastpasses. Its worth it though and its nice to know you will get a seat for a particular show.

We will be going to see it again next trip I am sure!

DH and I were pleasantly surprised by this show. I really enjoyed it - the stunts are super cool - and the inside info on how they do stuff is neat too. The stadium is enormous. We didn't have a fast pass and we had no problems getting in and getting a seat (and yes, it was a very crowded Saturday the last time we were there!)

Hope you like it!

I agree...my DH and I really enjoyed it too. For us it was cool to see how they do all that stuff. that being said, my DD6 and DD3 liked it but didn't love it. It is a little slow between stunts (I guess they have to set them up so it probably does take some time). and they got a little bored waiting but once the action started again, they relaly liked it. BTW they are typical girls who like Princesses and baby dolls but they seemd eto really like the action...who knew?
Enjoy!

We saw the show in May the day it opened and thought it was fabulous. A fast pass would be great for this, the stadium did fill up quickly even being so large. I am not a big car buff but was still amazed and entertained!

We're going to see it anyway. It's good to see something at least once. Alot of people like the Indiana Jones Show, but I really dislike it but my DH loves it. See it for yourself, come back and tell us what you think. :)

Our DS is 13 and loved it...we did, too. Best advice, get a fastpass which promises you a seat and arrive as close to the beginning time of the FP window. We arrived about 5 mins. after and managed to grab seats 2nd row behind the tech booth which were centered nicely. Plus, because the 1st row behind the tech booth are lousy...no one can see over the concrete wall, no one sits there thus an unobstructed view...no back of heads in the camera shots.

Prior to the show starting they have car related trivia on the big screen...sorry no prizes given, just the satisfaction of being car whiz. We enjoyed this also...DS was impressed by my knowledge of cars.

During the show there are great chases, action, etc., but you also learn some tricks of the trade. DS found out he didn't know everything despite what Cousin Brenda at 50's Primetime said.

My husband liked it enough to see it twice. I thought it was boring.
