Has the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show open yet?

If so, how is it? Is it worth seeing?

How often does it play? How long? Fast Pass? What times?

Thanks for the info.

Yes, it opened in late April or so. We went the middle of May and saw it.

I thought it was worth at least one visit - it's about 30-35 minutes long so it's def worth the effort once you get there. They only have about 3 showings a day, but the ampitheater is HUGE so you should be able to get into one of them. It does have a fast pass - we grabbed one right as the fast pass line opened so we got in before the people standing by that didn't think to grab one.

=)

The show is well worth it, especially if you are a car enthusiast (or gearhead), or are interested in movie stunts (even a little bit). It's like a cheoreographed dance, except with cars...

It is excellent. This was my 5yr old's favorite. He wanted to see it over and over and over. Definite must do.

We saw the show in early June. We had fast passes - but so did thousands of others. Your fast pass only provides you with the opportunity to be loaded/crammed into an extremely large, poorly ventilated, outdoor concrete basement/garage-like staging area for a half hour until it is filled to capacity. Then once the sweating mass of people are pushed almost to their breaking point - they are allowed to walk up to the huge stadium to wait for the show. This will take an additional 20 to 30 minutes while everyone finds their seats. Then the show begins with an advertisement for the new Herbie movie. This is followed by some OK car chase stunts that are rather underwhelming. I'd stay away from the show and check out the park's older attractions.

As mentioned above, the show is about 35 minutes long, but you are seated in a large stadium and it will take you a good ten minutes to get out after the show is over (maybe a little more or less, depending on where you are sitting).

The show is performed 3 times a day, at around 1, 3:30 and 6. It is subject to cancellation due to weather. Exact times for the current week are available at:

As for whether it is worth seeing, you will never get a clear consensus from DISers (or anyone else) as to whether something is good or not. Personally, I didn't care for the show, but I would recommend that you go see it and decide for yourself!

So, does FP not work too well here? Just out of curiosity, what time does the FP say to return to the theater. It sounds like you have to be there an hour before the show based on what you said here.

No - the FP is not very effective. However, without an FP you may not be able to see the show. The FP holders are allowed to take the rather long walk to the holding area and wait in line. Those that are standing in line have to wait until all the FP holders pass before they are allowed to walk to the holding area. So it may be a possibility that non-FP holders will not be able to see a particular show. You are right we received a FP time of 11:00 for a 11:45 or 12:00 (not sure of the exact times) show. A previous poster to this thread was correct - some folks might find the show wonderful - I thought it was mediocre at best. It's all a matter of individual taste.

it's a must see and a must fast pass. fast pass guarantees u a seat and there are only 3 shows. i was there in early july and the place is PACKED!

Always go on an attraction or see a show, etc., if you are so inclined, to make your own decision. I won't bother to see the show again, but that's me. Others love it. :confused3

Our family loved it. But again, like anything else, everyone has their own likes and dislikes.

One thing to note......when we saw the show in June, I got fastpasses for the show and was able to immediately get another set of fastpasses. You don't have to wait till the time runs out.

I agree with the necessity of FP. We couldn't get one for the 12:35 show last week about 11:00. We had a PS later and needed to see the first show. We were told to come about noon and we would get in. We got stuck in a looooong wait for Catastrophe Canyon (20 minutes longer than posted) and didn't get in by a few people.

I enjoyed the show (not a gear head), and would see it again, but it wouldn't wreck my trip if I missed it. My 16 yo DS would probably love it!

We saw it with a fast pass. I liked it but didn't love it. My older children really liked it but the younger ones were frightened- loud noises, fire and gun fights. My DH really enjoyed it. Fast pass didn't do much except get you under the shade sooner. The reason I believe they only have this in the PM at MGM is the position of the stadium. That is the only time this one is under shade. I would suggest bringing in a drink because it did get hot. It is worth seeing it once, I don't think I have to see it again- unless they change it.

The day we went my DS4 had been really very unco-operative. However we didn't hear a whine or bleat during this, he loved it. It really was very good. I think it's a great addition. Much better than the Indiana Jones Stunt show (IMO), my DS hated that.....

My family enjoyed it a lot. My only warning is that you want to see it as early as you can in the day because lightning in the area can cancel it. The first day we went to the Disney Studios, we got fastpasses for the 6:15 show and they finished the first scene and then canceled it because of a lightning strike. We were disappointed, but determined to see it so we went back to the Disney Studios for a second day and opted to see the first showing of the day rather than the last. Luckily we did because the 6:15 show would have been canceled again.

The times for last week were 12:35, 3:30, and 6:15

I really enjoyed this show and my sons (5 and 3) have both wanted to go back (the same day, the next day....two nights ago they asked about it again - saw it in May), so I think it appeals to some more than others. I will have no problem going back and seeing it again :)

Also, when we went to see Herbie recently, I told the boys we were going to see Herbie and you would have thought my 3 year old was going to flip out he was so happy. I finally realized that he thought we were going to see that show because he kept telling me Herbie gets cut in half. He liked the movie ok, but would have much rather been at MGM :p
