Lightning Lane Premier Pass is launching October 23

It will be 24 then since Pirates is leaving LL once HM is back to normal.

So yeah about 16.66 bucks a ride
I hope you are right with LL and pirates…

16.66$ a ride… but that’s theory…
Doing all rides in both parks is ambitious … especially if you are also trying to watch a parade, do some other rides and enjoy some food…

I don't see the value in this. Even if you account for adding both "extra" LLs with RSR and RotR on top of the multi LL daily fee, it's still wayyyy cheaper. And as for open time frames, you can already do this with modifying (although it does require work and time). If they added unlimited riding I could see the benefit, but currently I'm confused with this offering!
I fully expected it to have unlimited riding and am surprised it doesn’t. I’m confused by this offering as well.

On the new page it has a * next to Pirates and says its limited and might not be on LL when you go.

Disney said they only had Pirates on LL because HM can't use it, so looks like next year Pirates should go back to normal

also you are right but I'm valuing it like I would USH, if you can do everything how much is the pass and how many attractions can you use it on

If you hire a VIP tour guide, can you go on unlimited rides?
Yes… but not absolutely everything. You get access to all the LL attractions as much as you want and usually 12-13 other attractions that do not have LL.

There are a few exceptions like ROTR where they they to schedule you a time during the tour but everything else is unlimited to get back into line.

Just saw an announcement that the LL Premier Pass is launching on Oct 23. From the description it looks like it will be in limited quantities and will cost $400 per person per day. That gets you one LL entry per ride that offers LL including the paid ones ( Rise and RSR) and you don't have to schedule a time. What do you guys think? Gonna cough up $400 bucks to try Premier Pass?!

The pricing is absurd- even if they limit to deluxe resorts. I cannot imagine $400 per person plus ticket. And to stand in LL that sometimes take 40 minutes. I’d love to see a poll of how many people would buy. But I guess that’s the point- so few people will buy

I imagine the pitch went something like this.... "Josh we have a fool proof plan to get cyber truck owners to spend an extra couple grand in the park....daily."

Honestly, who is buying this when a properly managed simple LL can get you on most of those rides for a fraction of the cost?????

I'm surprised you can only go on each ride once for $400. I'd expect unlimited access all day for all rides. If they added free parking or something that would be nice also.

I'll never buy it, I already don't like paying for Genie + and LL. I miss fastpass and Maxpass!

Indy is that for me

On super long days LL is fine but Indy takes wayyyy too long if your paying 400 bucks.

I wonder if because they are testing this if they will start changing some of the lines up to get LL in even quicker on some attractions, HM for example looks amazing it scan right at the door of the attraction

“I always believed that Disney was a brand that needs to be accessible. And I think that in our zeal to grow profits, we may have been a little bit too aggressive about some of our pricing. And I think there is a way to continue to grow our business but be smarter about how we price so that we maintain that brand value of accessibility.” - Iger

Could someone who is way more tech savvy than I either add a survey to this thread OR start a new thread with a survey at top to just see where it comes out ? I know there are Disney people who follow this board (at least I hope their marketing people do) and I think the outcome might be interesting to them. Not that it would change their mind... :rotfl2:

This is not accessible and lacks value!

This is basically the same model that Disneyland Paris has for their Premier Access. For one price you can add on to your ticket one untimed access to each attraction that has LL. We bought this for one of our DLP days and afterwards we decided that it was not worth it and that if we went back we would just buy the LL for the attractions we wanted to go on.

I like the idea of being able to get in the LL for each ride without having to book a time and not worrying that all the LL times will be gone before I can grab one, so that is a plus in my books. But $400 per person per day is crazy, and this is coming from someone who does pay GCH rates! For our family of 3, coming from Canada, that would add almost $1700CAD to each day’s costs.

Except at DLP it's around 100 euro per day...

When we went to DLP in 2022 at the height of summer we didn't purchase any Premier Access passes (either Ultimate or Individual) and had zero need for any type of pass. And it seemed very few guests at Ultimate either. We fully took advantage of Early Mornings and knocked out the big rides like Crush' Coast and Big Thunder with minimal waits more than once.

I would be curious on the cost comparison for doing one day at the parks and buying the new LLPP vs. multiple days with LLMP and LLSP each day and extra hotel nights. I doubt it would ever be of interest to me, but I will probably try pricing it out on a future trip just to see.

I don't think it'll move the needle much for the average park goer. The suckers for this would be coming from those who would have bought LLMPs instead so it's unlikely to be adding much to the overall pool of LLs.

I compared this to Universal Orlando's pass and I think Disney is charging far too much for basically the same product. I like the idea of not having to schedule the rides (and I think other people would appreciate having that option as well), but not at the price Disney is charging.

I don't know that this will increase the number of people in the LL lines, as the people who purchase this will certainly have purchased G+ on prior visits. So it is just the opportunity to not be limited by a return time and to include the two LLSP rides in this price. I really expected re-rides (maybe not unlimited re-rides, but at least to be able to ride each ride twice per day or something).

As we all compare it to the cost of a VIP ($500-800/hour x minimum of 7 hours, which does not include tip, for up to 10 people including infants) at $3500-5600 for 7 hours, and up from there to a max of $5000-8000 for 10 hours, this new product is still less expensive, depending on your party size (if you are a party of 10, and you go on a lower priced VIP day and only want 7 hours of "access", LLPP would be $4000 versus $3500 VIP tour (without tip). VIP includes parade/fireworks seating, re-rides on most things, a guide to get your coffee while you ride or watch your kid or your stroller, etc.

One more thing, as we compare it to the price of just getting G+ and modifying (which I feel like is well worth saving my money!!), I am keeping in mind that they can (and will) increase the price of G+ as well. Then people might feel like LLPP is more "worth it" if the price of G+ gets raised. Ugh, more price increases are likely coming!
