We are on the car on our way to DLR WOOHOO!!! Anyway, I was wondering about TJ light up ears. Are they worth buying? Do a lot of people have them? DD really wants them, but I'm not sure.....

My DS are 4 and 2. The older was begging for them. I have an AP and w/ a promo I was able to get them for free. They are one size but I adjusted the strap to keep them on the kids. They are very heavy. My 4yr old said it hurt his head. 2yr old didn't keep on for long. I wouldn't say they are something you would wear over an extended period of time even as an adult.

They wore them the night we bought them - 1st of 7 days in the park. Never wore them again during our stay. Didn't experience WOC or Fantasmic with them.

Glad I have them as a souvenir and they were free. If I had to pay for them it wouldn't have been worth it for my boys.

Lots of people have them. I personally think they are a rip off. It's cool to have if u see world of color but that's abt it

My DD liked them.... son said they were too heavy to wear for very long. We have two, but I think I would have thought twice about it if I didn't have annual passes this year and we will be able to use them more than just once.

Is there still a promo for this? We are going in early Nov and just don't know if I want to shell out $$ for 7 of these.

The promo was spend $50 get the ears for free w/ AP. It ended on 9/22/12 but they do different promotions all the time.

They are awkward on the head and don't enhance the show if you are wearing them. They are cool to look at on other people. Something to consider before spending $24 for each hat.

I bought a pair on my last trip because it's fun to watch the lights. However, that being said, they are not comfortable/easy to wear. As others have said, they're much heavier than the regular ears (both because the ears themselves are plastic with lights inside and because the battery/mechanism is located at the top of the hat. So they don't sit like normal ears because of the battery compartment...for me it meant that they kept trying to slide off because the hat was too shallow.

I wore/watched them over at Mad T Party and it was fun to see the colors, rhytms change with the music. However, it is more fun to watch the hats than to wear them.

I agree they are heavy but so much fun. WOC, Mad T, Fantasmic. And Carsland. So cool to see them turn orange near the cozy cones, pink near Flos. And just reading about the technology behind them made my inner geek squeal with delight.
