Tomorrow my window opens up to book lightening lanes. This is a different trip for us so I’m trying to figure out the right balance. We go to WDW often (1-2 times a year for 4-5 nights) this trip is 6/26-7/4 split hotel stay. Here’s a rough copy of my schedule. How would you go about booking lightening lanes or not? I included my ideas for what I want. The name of the game this trip was more laid back and going with the flow. Asif ha!

We do utilize early entry and will utilize extend evening hours when we can. We will probably only do AK once and arrive before EEH for Safari. We have park hoppers with water park option.

6/26- Thurs travel to Orlando.
Friday - get settled at POFQ/swim/MK ILL for Mine Train?
Saturday - Typhoon Lagoon/Disney Spring
Sunday- daddy/daughter night at MK for Space Mountain and Tiana
Monday - switch to Beach Club/Cape May 10:00am/ Epcot EEH
Tuesday - mommy/daughter night slinky dog night ride
Wednesday - Animal Kingdom EEH/ ILL for FOP?
Thursday - BBB 6:55pm/MK night
7/4 Friday - check out?

Not answering your exact question, but maybe consider switching your Typhoon Lagoon day to Thursday or Monday to take advantage of the free water park perk on check-in day rather than paying for a separate ticket?

I think they have the waterpark option included in their tickets already. Looks like a good plan to me!

Ahh, thank you, totally missed that part.:confused3

But why pay for the option when you get it free??
I have tickets that include the waterpark and we will get it too late to use the hotel benefit Thursday and Mondays change to BC we will use as a resort day before EEH. The waterpark add on was thankfully included not extra.

OP, are you planning on buying LL just for the few rides you have listed on your schedule? I wouldn’t bother with them, personally, unless I was going to use it all day.

I think just the two ILL I mentioned and maybe a Guardians? We’ve always done for the full LL pass for each park + these ILL but I feel like between the number of days, early entry and extended evening hours its probably not necessary? But it’s the first trip we have ever done this way so I guess I want to make sure it’s not crazy

We used LLMP for the first time last Sep for our 8-day trip and honestly, did not really need it. This Aug/Sep we’re taking family who è ne er been and decided not to them this year for the portion of the trip family is with us (my cousin is super “cheap”, her word lol). The 2nd half I’ll probably just buy Guardians since it’s our favorite ride. Let us know how your trip went without them!

I think for your goals you aren't going to need to spend on LLs. And going with the flow is totally doable, especially if you go often. I never buy any LLs or make advance ADRs (I make the ADRs day of usually in the middle of the afternoon if I'm in the mood for TS). Depending on the weather, time of year, moon phase, whether you spit into the wind that morning and tapped on enough wood, you may or may not even stand in especially long lines. But if you go often, skipping a ride isn't a big deal.

I wouldn't get them. We usually always get LLs, however we had a bit more of a relaxwed trip over Memorial Day week and didn't get them for 3 of our dsys and honestly it was fine and actually kinda nice to just do what we felt like when we felt like it. I think with LLs we just feel like we have to rush rush rush to get as much banf for our buck and I feel like I'm constantly on my phone trying to get something, modify something, fet something better etc. We have a trip coming up and we're not going to do LLs (possibly 1 ILL) for GoG, but that's it. We actually found we kinda have fun waiting in line, talking and playing heads up etc and it just seems much more laid back.

This is totally the vibe I am going for! Our last spring break trip felt so hectic with lots of character meals (we wanted to show our toddler everyone ha!) and we were constantly running from rides because I didn’t want him waiting too long.

I did end up booking 3 ILL (MT, GoG and FoP) and I’m going to keep Cape May breakfast because it’s one we haven’t done yet but other wise we are gonna vibe and pray not to melt 🫣
