Life's Yummy Little Pleasures

Okay - First I'm going to have to admit that sometimes I have sense memory sessions about foods that I miss. I'll imagine a chocolate chip cookie until I can taste it, and, I have to say, it's pretty satisfying. I just hope it doesn't make my blood sugar go up!

Anyway, I was taking a long walk today while my car was being serviced and suddenly Hostess Hoho's popped into my mind. I forget what they're called on the East Coast and won't bother to describe them in case that tempts anybody. In any case, I could taste them in my mind and was so excited because they're so yummy.

The next thing I know, I'm in our new Family Dollar store and there is Hostess Hoho chapstick! I could not believe it. Don't you think that's kinda weird? They had Twinkie and Reese's and Tootsie Roll too! So I bought the Hoho and the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup chapstick and they taste and smell AMAZING. I think they might actually get me through my PMS calorie-free!

Have I been low-carbing too long? Have I lost my mind? Hope nobody thinks I'm nuts but just wanted to share.

PS Family Dollar also had some cute Disney stuff - framed Pooh prints and Cinderella temp tattoos.

haha...I have the peanut butter cup and also a Hershey's chocolate kind. They are both pretty yummy.

I wish that would satisfy me..I just cheat. that would be torture for me.........
Also, here on the East Coast I think what your talking about may either be Ring dings........or ding dongs! ( what silly names huh?)
although, I do believe I have seen ho hos here........

My husband got me a bunch of flavored chapsticks for Easter to try to help with teh low carb thing.

I have 4 tubes of skittles flavors, a 4-pack of Strawberry Shortcake flavors, and a tropical Hello Kitty on a key chain. Now, had he resisted the ~2 to 3 pounds of dark chocolate, my life would have been much easier. He did try though!

Back to my point. I thought I was wacked when it seemed to help the cravings. Looks like I'm not the only one!
