NEVER go to bed angry, ALWAYS tell those you love that you love them, DON'T hold grudges, REMEMBER to take the time to kiss goodbye, and ALWAYS take the time to call just to say hello, it could be your last chance. :sad1:

We are all SO sad over here. DH's very favorite uncle tragically lost his life yesterday in an accident.

He was like a father to my DH, and like an uncle to me. He was my fathers best friend.

He had, just one week earlier, became a grandfather for the second time to a granddaughter. He was so looking forward to teaching his grandson things.

He had been with his wife since high school. I can't imagine how hopeless life feels to her.

His two children are numb and in absolute shock.

We are all saddened beyond belief.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.

To the sons and daughters out there, call your dad tonight. Tell him you love him. To all of the dads out there, please do the same to your children. To wives and husbands, don't forget to kiss your spouse goodbye and goodnight. :sad1: You just never know what tomorrow, or even five minutes, might bring...

I am so, so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your husband today.

I am so sorry for your loss. Praying for comfort to help ease your pain.

Your plea to everyone is very touching, and I for one will be calling my dad tonight! :flower3:

I am sorry for your loss.

A scant 14 years ago, it was my first child's first Christmas. We celebrated with my father's side of the family, including my 89 year old grandmother, my father, his sister and her husband, my cousins, and of course my dh. I made a special point to spend time with my grandmother, because of course, she was 89. :lovestruc

Twelve years ago, I spent Christmas with my father, my 91 year old grandmother, my dh and my first born. My father's sister had died. :sad1: As a result, we really didn't see that side of the family anymore.

Ten years ago, I spent Christmas with my 93 year old grandmother, my dh and my 2 children. My father had died from cancer. :sad1:

Five years ago, I spent Christmas with some friends and my three children. My dh had died.

My grandmother passed away 50 weeks ago at the age of 102.

My point to all this is - you never know how long ANY of your loved ones will live. Make a point to let ALL of them know how much you appreciate them.

This is so true. In the last few years I have lost too many friends and they were all under 40. You never know when we are going to leave this earth. So always say I love you and give hugs!

Yes.

I decided one weekend not to drive over and visit my parents but to wait a few days. That Monday morning my father dropped dead instantly of a heart attack. I've always regretted putting off that visit.

OP, my condolences on your loss.

Thanks everyone, for the thoughts and prayers.

This is TRUE... I should have said that, but I am feeling very appreciative of my dad at this time!

But let EVERYONE you love know that you love them! :sad1:
