Life’s too short...to never sleep in a treehouse! 8/27 TR is up! Link in siggie

Yay you booked PP! :yay:
The rooftop pool looks fantastic. You're going to have such a great time there.

One word.

Teenagers.

:rotfl:

I know there is a ton of wonderful places for bfast but with the gang on west coast time we were lucky to make to the parks by 11!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have improved their wake up times in the last 6 months, dramatically so, I can only hope it lasts!

Granted, we did eat at the cabin before heading out but it was a light breakfast for those who were up and the teens didn't eat until lunch. I am really hoping that with the red eye this time that we can make it to a sit down breakfast at least once. I do have 2 reservations but both at our resort which should improve our chances!!!!!!!!
I really

I'm sure the time difference makes it very difficult. I'd forgotten about that.

How fun!!!! Paradise Pier looks great!!! What a fantastic time you are going to have!!!

You'll laugh, but when I first started reading your update and saw the picture of the lamp, I thought you were going to say you found the Mickey lamp on ebay and bought it. :lmao: Your news is so much better than that!!! ;)

Oh dear me, I thought the same exact thing!!! :lmao: I have been trying to catch up and I saw the photo, and said "gee, I guess Cynthia did some shopping... but I didn't think she had any Disney themes in her house" :rotfl:

:rotfl: I was going to have a hard time getting excited about your lamp.. but two nights on property at Disneyland? Now THAT I can get excited about!! :yay:

Good for you! How fun!!!! :yay:

That's awesome that you'll be staying on-site a couple of days. Can't wait to hear about it and see some photos.

Since you're posting this today, I take it you didn't make a dash up to Vancouver.

I am excited about it. Everything is so close there it really isn't needed but it will be awfully nice to just walk out the door to DCA!

No, we didn't make the dash. For a couple of reasons. Most importantly, all we have are copies of K&T's BC's. Their mom has the certified copies. Copies used to work to cross the border but now we'd need the real deal. Jeff didn't want to deal with asking his ex and Tay flunked the recon mission (more accurately completely forgot, picked up the camera he ran over to get but nothing else).

Secondly they needed to be back at their mom's by 5pm which would have been next to impossible with the way the game played out.

It would have been really cool though!

We need to get our own set.
Just popping in to say HI!!

Hi Rosie!

How very fun and exciting!! Looks like a great time and look at that slide!

I was very confused by the slide at first as it doesn't go into the pool! :rotfl: but it looks very cool and the E's will go nuts for it for sure. I just hope it's nice and warm!

Oh those pictures have me ready to get my bags packed! You guys are going to have such fun!
I think we are going to have refurbed rooms at BWV too!

:thumbsup2 for refurbed rooms, I can't wait to see your pics from BWV...it's just around the corner!

Yay you booked PP! :yay:
The rooftop pool looks fantastic. You're going to have such a great time there.

Thankfully the pool is open till 10 so we will hopefully get a couple of days out of it depending on how Knott's goes. Slide is only open till 7 though :( so we will need to do a mid day break on our DCA day to use it but that's ok as it looks like the park is open until 10pm anyway.

I'm sure the time difference makes it very difficult. I'd forgotten about that.

We never recovered from it on the last trip, I really really hope it's different this time. And that it isn't as crowded!

Looks like K&T are going to do their own GAD event to get the fast passes so if they do, that will help as well!

Oh dear me, I thought the same exact thing!!! :lmao: I have been trying to catch up and I saw the photo, and said "gee, I guess Cynthia did some shopping... but I didn't think she had any Disney themes in her house" :rotfl:

LOL! No, the lamp wouldn't work in my house, adorable as it is. I just put the lamp first as I'm kind of meh about the rest of the room but I think the lamp is cute. I have heard from folks who have stayed there that it's nice though, it will be good to compare staying off and then on in the same trip since neither of us have ever stayed on before.

Hi Cynthia!

Thanks for posting your good wishes on my report... I knew you had a job interview coming up, but I didn't make the mental connection that it was tomorrow!!

Lots of luck! :shamrock: :shamrock: :shamrock:

Kathy

Wow! I didn't know they had a pool on the roof?! You'll definitely have to take a midday break to check that out - which should be super easy with your 'private entrance to the park'!

Love the bedding at the yacht club, the dark blue and dark red look great against the white duvet.

Most importantly - GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!:cheer2:

Sorry I can't seem to keep up. Looks like you have awesome plans!

I'm trying to wrangle a DL trip this year, too. So far DH is being really responsible with our tax return - I'll convince him yet! ;) I didn't know you could make ADRs at the DTD locations - good to know.

The YC rooms look fabulous! I'm so excited for you!

]And Liesa, you weren’t totally off on the spreadsheet comment, I was doing that earlier that day …plotting cruise DVC funds. Among other things.

And now….to get through the interviews...after I run away for a day (maybe).

I'm all oozing jealousy now!! Your plan to stay PP is over-the-top awesome!! Pool on the roof to see the fireworks, Breakfast buffet, all of it, sounds SO great!!! So, Jeff is still not into hitting DL?? I'm bummed!!

Knotts??

So, in a few hours you will be interviewing. I'm wishing you all the best in that! I know you've done your homework, and what will be with be. Looking forward to seeing what happened in my morning. :surfweb:

Congratulation on booking Paradise Pier!! It looks amazing! The breakfast sounds great too!

Good luck today!! pixiedust:

Oh..I missed that you had posted pics of the YC rooms!! Love them!! So beautiful!!:goodvibes

YAY! That's great news about booking Paradise Pier!! The breakfast sounds like so much fun! I'm sure your boys will love it!!!!:thumbsup2

Good luck today!!!!!:)

It all sounds great to me! A friend of mine went to DL and stayed there. She had meant to watch the fireworks from the pool but with the park so close, she never did.

Just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you just now. Hope you're doing well in your interview, staying calm, breathing, asking the right questions, all that important stuff!

Hope there's good news when I wake up. :goodvibes

I'm holding my breath while you interview.

Kathy
and back at you! I hope yours went well.

Mine did but it was a long day...6 hours of interviews!

update coming on it.

I am curious to see what that private entrance is! The pool looks cool, or at least the slide and the view does (pool and spa look pretty basic lol). I hope it's nice and hot so we all want to jump in!

Isn't the new room lovely! I just love it!

Thank you for the good luck, it helped!

You can make ressies 60 days out at DTD/DL/DCA and any of the resort restaurants.

There are some great deals out there for DL, especially if you do GAD!

Nice change!

I've stayed at PP before--nice. It's really close to DCA....

I'm excited, it will be fun for a couple of nights and I love that we can just walk there for our DCA day.

I'm all oozing jealousy now!! Your plan to stay PP is over-the-top awesome!! Pool on the roof to see the fireworks, Breakfast buffet, all of it, sounds SO great!!! So, Jeff is still not into hitting DL?? I'm bummed!!

Yep, Knott's.

1 beach/DTD day
1 Queen Mary/Beach day
1 Knott's
1 DCA
1 resort 1/2 day

or something like that. But you never know what can happen once we are there!

Just got done. 6 hours!

I was so busy being interviewed I am not sure that the homework I did came into play as much as I would have liked but it did help me feel somewhat prepared.

That said it would be a HUGE learning curve industry wise.

But it went well.

Or at least they told me it did.

:rotfl:

I'll update separately on it.
Congratulation on booking Paradise Pier!! It looks amazing! The breakfast sounds great too!

Thanks!!!!!!!! I'm excited for the breakfast, we've never done a character meal and this looks like a perfect first one both in terms of location, food type and the crew we will have. It will "test" on whether one in August makes sense.

update coming on the interview

Oh..I missed that you had posted pics of the YC rooms!! Love them!! So beautiful!!:goodvibes

Good luck today!!!!!:)

Aren't they wonderful? I can't wait to see the rooms live.

thanks for the good wishes!

It all sounds great to me! A friend of mine went to DL and stayed there. She had meant to watch the fireworks from the pool but with the park so close, she never did.

Well since we won't be at DL I figure we will have a better view from the roof and actually hope to see the fireworks on our Knott's day as that park is only open until 6. Even with dinner there I think we'd be back in time for fireworks, hoping they are at 9:25 which is what they are right now and earlier that month. Hours are only up through 4/12, drives me crazy!

Just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you just now. Hope you're doing well in your interview, staying calm, breathing, asking the right questions, all that important stuff!

Hope there's good news when I wake up. :goodvibes

Well they didn't make me an offer on the spot but I think it went well. Will update separately.

hope you're interview is going/went well.:thumbsup2

Thanks!
I'm holding my breath while you interview.

Oh dear, you'd be dead. It was 6 hours long!

Ok I know I promised an interview update but it's going to have to wait until the morning.

I'll be honest.

My brain hurts!

It needs a rest. And some trashy TV and Thai food.

A small snapshot.

It was supposed to be 4-5 hours.

2 people couldn't make it today

Even without those 2 it went for 6.

I appreciate that kind of time. I know what goes into it haveing been on the other side. It's an investment, for the company and for myself and it's important to really know (or think you know) what you are getting.

I liked what I saw. A lot.

But my brain hurts. And it is a bit intimidated. Noodling needs to occur. Marinating.

So more details tomorrow after I give it some rest. And respond back to the other company who is requesting info.

I'm sure the fact that I got up at 4:30 to prep/refresh has something to do with being tired...but probably not as much as being "on" for 6 hours straight.
