Libraries?

I figured i could maybe just look this up, but i thought id ask around here first.
Are there any Libraries near by either by bus or walking distance or anything i guess? I love to read and cant bring many books with me cuz im flying there, and buying books there will just take up MORE room i dont have ha ha.(i have tons of books. ) this just is a question i have had cuz i have heard that alot of reading can get done on the busses. thanks much!

There aren't any Orange County Public Libraries within walking distance. I highly recommend bringing a car if you can!! If will be sooo much easier living down there.

But if you can't here are some tips if you want to use the local library:
-After you move in be sure to get a form from the front desk (Proof of Residency Form). You will need it to get a card from the library since you are in the County as a student.
-Find someone (with a car) that is willing to go to the library with you.
-Go to http://www.ocls.info to find the exact address and other info so you know how to get there.

The OC Library is awesome because after your address is confirmed, you can go Online and request books to be mailed to you, for FREE!! The only thing is that you have to return them in person. You cannot return them to be checked back in through the mail. This is great as you can also extend your books online and over the phone as well. If you don't have a car, this is perfect!

The other great thing about the OC library nearest the complexes is that they have DVD's too! For free! They also can have them delivered throught the mail too! The only difference is DVD's are due in 7 days not three weeks like books.

Oh, I almost forgot! The Learning Center at Vista Way also has books, DVD's and laptops for check out as well. All for free! The books are pretty limited, and the DVDs aren't the newest flicks, but it can help when you're bored out of your mind and need to read or watch something different.

thanks so much! i wont be able to have a car because i dont have one of my own, and also cuz i live far out in utah(too long of a drive alone if i was to have a car) but that information is great! i am sure i can find a way to the library when i need/want to.

Thanks for the info moviekid! I was actually wondering this same thing. I actually just really find libraries relaxing I will hopefully be bringing my car in which case I have a feeling I will be helping those I know get around, but hey, if I'm going somewhere anyway...
