Hi All,
Please tell me the good, the bad & the ugly about the LTT... I heard it was a family style buffet... is this true? If so how do they serve you or is there a buffet line? how is the food and last but not least how are the character interactions w/ guests?
Anything that you could add about your dining experience there would help me greatly...

Thanks a million! :wizard:

Family style dining means that they bring the food to your table in bowls or platters. Then you serve yourself from these dishes. Same with Dessert.

We like the food here, it is very Thanksgivingesque (is that even a word, doubt it). Platter of Turkey, Beef and ham. Stuffing (dressing), Mac & Cheese, Green beans, Salad, etc. No Cranberry sauce though. That would make it perfect for me.

Great character interaction and at during Halloween the characters are in costume. When we were there last October the Characters were great. Pluto would put a roll on his nose and catch it in his mouth. Goofy brought over other guests, that were wearing the same costume as ours, to our table. They were awesome.

We are having dinner there before MVMCP during our upcoming December stay. We always go there while at Disney.

Hope this is helpful.

IMHO......This food is is terrible.
We always compare it to the taste of frozen dinners which is not a good thing. Salty, family style = not for us.

The food at dinner is Stoffer's and it is ok for what it is, as stated they bring a set menu to your table and you can ask for more of anything.
This is for DINNER ONLY.
for Lunch they have an ala carte menu and it is very good. I much prefer doing lunch there to dinner.
However only Dinner is character dining.

It's on of my favorite Charcter dining! We've had a great experience there and really enjoyed the food!

LTT was one of our favorite Character Meals. We enjoyed the food quite a bit, especially since we were some 6 months removed from Thanksgiving at the time. The character interaction was great too. Someone at the table mentioned cats and Pluto covered his face with his ears. Too cute!

To our family...the food at LTT is okay, but not spectacular in anyway...think frozen family entree style food...the character interaction IS spectacular (at least it was for us)... I am glad we did LTT because it was our ONLY character meal during our last trip...next time I think we will try Crystal Palace...We have also had character meals at Beach Club (breakfast)...not very good (too greasy)....then at Chef Mickey's...I liked most choices here...however, I wish they would use less rosemary in some of their dishes. What ever you decide...have fun and EAT MUCH!!

LTT is one of our favorites, and a "must do" for us. We love the food, and really enjoy all the yummy food and fresh vegetables after a day in the parks!! The characters are great, and so is the colonial theming!:goodvibes

We enjoyed this restaurant last year, right before the MNSSHP. The food was awesome and the character interactions was even better!!

It's ugly outside the door and at the podium. for every 1 person with an ADR, there are 9 more trying to walk up and eat. It makes it frustrating to just get to the podium and give your name.

The charecter interaction is the best of any charecter meal. They work the room fast and you see them 2 and 3 times during dinner.

The food....it's hit or miss. The 1st time we went in 2005, it was awesome. The meats were hot and moinst, and the sides were tasty.

Last year in 2006, the meats were dry and tasteless, and the mac n cheese looked and tatsed like 3 day left overs.

Then, late last year it was closer to our 2005 experience with pretty good food.

We go for dinner each time we go to Disney. I love the food and so does my family. The characters are a lot of fun and do move around the room alot. In the past ten years I haven't had a bad meal there.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I thought LTT was one of the best restaurants we went to on our trip. So many other places, I left feeling hungry with the small portions, but at LTT, the food was plentiful and I thought very delicious. I liked it so much, that I plan to make it a restaurant we choose when we go back next October.

I believe this was the worst food ever. Fresh Vegetables....I don't think so. Starches...runny Mac n Cheese. Very Dry Turkey. Fatty Ham. The salad was good. We all ate bread. I would never go back.

We just got back and had a 4:10 dinner at the LTT. We thought it was very good. Not gourmet, but good comfort food. It was actually better than I had thought,I was prepared for the meats to be dry like some of the others have said. We must have had a good night, because it really was all delicious. The characters were great and came around more than once.

Not sure why everyone thinks the bigger the better:confused3

We always go to LTT but for lunch. My family loves the food selections. Something for everyone and the BEST fried cheese.
