Never been.... couple questions.
so if I LOVE Garden Grill... think I will like LTT?
Also... kids can be picky - for dinner is there any other choices for them? I see the lunch menu has some kid choices - can they accommodate the kids at dinner with ordering something from the kiddie lunch menu?
thanks!

My daughter was able to get Chicken Fingers at dinner, my son was happy with the Mac and Cheese on the dinner menu.

Sorry, I can't help you with the comparison to Garden Grill--I can tell you that I actually enjoy the LTT lunch menu better than their dinner menu (but that's just me, my DH really likes the "all you care to eat" turkey with all the trimmings at dinner)

Enjoy your trips
:goodvibes

Well, I absolutely hated Garden Grill and absolutely hated Liberty Tree Tavern my last trip (both the worst meals of my trip!) so if you love Garden Grill, I'll say that you'll love Liberty Tree Tavern. :thumbsup2

All it really boils down to is matter of taste and opinion. Go and enjoy and I'm sure that they'll work with you for the kids food.

I've never eaten at Garden Grill, but I loved LTT. Since they got rid of the characters, it's been less crowded as well. Both of my sons (ages 5 and 8) also loved it. I didn't have to beg them to eat.

I have eaten at both and like LTT better then Garden Grill. I'm sure they will accomodate for kids if they don't like whats on the menu. I do know Garden Grill had a separate kids dinner so maybe you can get it at LTT. In case you don't know the menu its.. salad(with strawberry vinegrette dressing, but they also have ranch if you ask), rolls and butter, turkey, flank steak, ham, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, green beans, and stuffing. My whole family loves the food and everyone we know likes it too.

Why not try Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch? The food is way better than dinner...

I love LTT for lunch for sure!!! Dinner is good but I like being able to choose what im in the mood for.

I've eaten both. LOVED both. My favorite was LTT. It was by far the best meal of our trip in June. It was way better than chef mickeys, 1900 Park, and other more populare meals. Garden grill was good too, but I'm telling you the food and service at LTT was superb. T:cool1:urkey was moist, potatoes were real, rolls were to die for. If you like a good thanksgiving dinner...eat here for dinner! You won't be disappointed. Never have had lunch there though. No advice for lunch.

Thanks, guys!
yep, really want to try it! I know I'd love the dinner more than the lunch - but the lunch works better for the kids. Hoping there is something else they can do for the kids for dinner.

Now all I need is for availability to open up so I can switch things around a bit - need CRT and LTT both that day - one for lunch, one for dinner. However availability works will decide I guess which place is for lunch, which for dinner!

If anyone else knows anything more about kids with the dinner menu, and if kids could still order off lunch menu at all... let me know! thanks!

I do not know if you realize that LTT is no longer a character meal - if you are looking for characters, you will not find any at dinner there.

We have eaten at both although LTT was a character meal then. We hated Garden Grill. The food was ok at best and the service was terrible! We loved LTT. The food was great! DS (4) loved the mac-n-cheese.

Good thread. We are trying this in December. :) Thanks for all the information.

Yep -- this was one of the most disappointing things I discovered as I started planning our upcoming Sept. trip. :sad2:

I absolutely loved the LTT dinner food when we went for the first time last year (admittedly, I'm a big eater and it was definitely my kind of food), but we have three little ones and a sit-down meal with no characters just doesn't make a lot of sense for our purposes...

WE loved LTT when we ate there last November. Even though the characters are gone, we are planning on eating there this December before MVMCP. Garden grill was ok, but our fave was LLT. Just hoping for a return of the characters.

We really enjoyed LTT. It was like a mini Thanksgiving. It was fun.:cool1:

If you are going for quantity and fast service, then LTT is your place. While we loved the service, we found the food to be the same stuff we have at home: turkey, roast beef, roast pork, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans w/almonds, mac and cheese, and salad with rolls. For dessert they had apple crisp with ice cream. Since we were all adults (first time our kids were 21 or older) we decided that from now on we would go for places where we could try things we probably wouldn't go for normally. The problem is there really isn't that much variety at MK, but we would do CS at Harbor House and Cosmic Rays and simply do two TS another day. Both of those CS provide LOTS of food.
