I would like to make a PS for lunch. Is it true there are no characters there for lunch? Is it still a good choice? When would be the best time for lunch, without missing the afternoon parade? We do plan to be there at opening hours, or before!;)

Yes, it is true. There are no characters at lunch time. There are at supper. Do have the pot roast! It is delicious. It is our favourite restaurant at MK, and we always have a lunch there!\
I would suggest making at PS and they are quite fast. You will be out in less than hour with dessert and a coffee.

I had lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern for the first time on my last trip. It was excellent! There are no characters at lunch, and you order off a menu (dinner has characters and is served family style instead). The atmosphere was very relaxing and calm, which we really enjoyed. I had the Colony Salad, and it was really outstanding--very fresh, filling, and great dressing. We also had yummy desserts (the bread pudding with chocolate was wonderful!). I would definitely recommend it! :) Here's a link to the menu on Deb Wills' site so you can check it out:

There are no characters at lunch, but the lunch menu has some really delicious choices on it.

It is one of my all-time favorites! I like the lunch food better than the evening fare.

The yeast rolls are wonderful and quite filling.

Try to get a 11:30AM PS. One family is chosen to "open" the restaurant, it is a cute ceremony. :D

We had wonderful salmon and pasta and chicken dishes on our last trip. It was some of the best food(Brown Derby topped it,though)!!

I love lunch there too. We don't care for the dinner. It has great theming and the service is very fast and friendly.

While the characters at dinner are fun the food is not so great, IMO. The food at lunch is wonderful! It's our one MK must do!

Taximom,

We are definitely in the minority but we avoid character meals as they are too busy and DD (3) is mostly afraid of them. That said, I must say that Lunch at LTT was probably the most enjoyable meal I have had at the kingdom. The food was quite good and reasonable (by disney standards anyway). But the atmosphere was so relaxing, especially getting out of the heat and crowds to have a nice meal. I would definitely recommend it.:D

The pilgrims feast is also a good, but filling lunch choice.
