We are planning a trip in Aug. I have already made all my ADR's. I have a reservation for Liberty Tree already but it has gotten mixed revues. I am considering changing to Crystal Palace which everyone says is great. One of the con's is that we are already doing 3 buffets out of 8 TS meals. Sometimes I like it when someone else brings me my food. :thumbsup2 The con is that there is going to be limited amount of things my kids (14,12 & 7) will eat at LTT. At best my 14 yr old will eat the bread and mac & cheese. She may eat the flank steak but that is unclear. Of course at CP, at best she will eat bread and mac & cheese and maybe dessert. She is very picky:sad2: What would you do?

Thanks

We have never done lunch or dinner at Crystal Palace (we always do breakfast). We tried LTT for lunch for the first time in all of the years we've gone to Disney and really enjoyed it. Does it have to be a character meal? If not, why not change LTT to lunch (there is a good variety on the menu). Or, if it doesn't have to be a characater meal, why not try The Plaza restaurant. It is not your typical table service, but instead has salads, cheeseburgers, reubens, club sandwiches, grilled chicken, great shakes and even better desserts?

I agree with KatMark, lunch at LTT is very good (and it's served to you ;) ) if you really want the meal to be a character meal, then I personally would switch to CP. I think the food is better, more choices & they've got Tigger :tigger:

We love CP and have really enjoyed LTT for lunch. For MNSSHP this year we picked CP for dinner. We are going with a group and the thought is that CP will have more variety. Not everyone wants the thanksgiving like food however the characters at voth are very different so for some people that is an thought. CP is pooh and friends LTT is goofy and friends.

We did both last year, and really enjoyed both!! The character interaction at both was really good. Which characters does your family really want to see? We also really enjoyed the dinner at LTT, the food was great, the kids LOVED the macaroni and the steak was awesome. Good Luck making a decision, I am sure you will like whichever one you choose.

I would go with LTT! We loved our dinner here. The food was good and so were the characters. It is on our list for next time. We also enjoyed our lunch at CP very much, but I have to give LTT the edge because it is not a buffet. If you already have 3 buffets, then I would go with LTT. We will probably only schedule 1 buffet for our next trip. I just like to be served when I am on vacation.

Liberty Tree!!!!:thumbsup2 I thought it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had at WDW. Crystal Palace was OK, but LTT was much better.:)

Every palce will get mixed reviews. I prefer LTT for the food and the characters. I never really understood what "posters" meant by excellant chracter interaction until we ate there. They spend a lot of time at the table clowning around with everyone in your party. CP is great for breakfast but I found the dinner a bit disappointing.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I decided to change to CP. I just like the idea that I know my kids are going to leave with a full stomach. My stomach will more than likely be too full. Boy I am ever glad that I did change my reservation too just from the stand point that I had a wonderful CM when I called Disney Dining. I told her that I needed to cancel a reservation too. I was referring to tht LTT reserverstion. The CM said, yes I see you have two reservations on Aug 14, Park Fare and Chef Mickey's. I said no, Park Fare was supposed to on the 15th. They had the wrong days! Fortunately I was able to change the reservations. It wasn't quite the original time but at least we still didn't have to give it up the reservation all together. The CM then figured out that they had my name spelled wrong on two other reservations I made, including LTT. Another thing this wonderful CM did was point out that I only have 7 TS meals and I am staying 8 nights on DDP. I have been working on what we are eating and making ADR since Febuary. I can't believe I missed that!!!!:scared1: Now I have to figure out what should the 8th meal be. Right now this is where we are eating.

Arrival Day: We will arrive at hotel around 5:30. I was going to do a CS meal.
Day 1: Corral Reef
Day 2: CP Dinner
Day 3: Boma - Dinner
Day 4: Teppanyaki @ Epcot
Day 5: Prime Time
Day 6: Park Fare
Day 7: Chef Micky's

I would add a breakfast but 2/3 of my kids refuse to eat breakfast. What do do?

Thanks again for all your suggestions and input!:hippie:

I would choose CP. The selection of the buffet was wonderful. I'm not a Turkey person, I want different kinds of food. The only thing I didn't like was it was soooo crowded.
