Liberty Tree Menu Is Changing This Week

I would not mind the AYCTE option so much if you could choose your dessert - I don't eat bread pudding. Since the bread pudding and the toffee cake are the same price a la carte, you would think it would not be hard. If anyone who goes is able to swap them out, let us know :)

Bummer. We have a lunch ADR for here. The day before this one, we have a lunch ADR for Garden Grill with what will now be very similar food options to LTT. At least will GG, there are the characters, so I think I will keep GG and switch LLT to the Plaza. Too bad , as I was really looking forward to lunch here...

well it seems like people are dropping LTT over this. I recently changed my flight to arrive at 10am instead of 5pm on a friday and was able to just yesterday pick up a 12:15 LTT lunch that someone dropped. Today 1:35 is available. Seems like people are TICKED. it's during free dining so before that it was sold out at lunchtime as was everything else at MK, even skipper's canteen.

I always get the salad without the chicken, since I don't eat any meat

The Colony Salad? You're right, that is an option for some, and I'm glad it works for you.

Unfortunately, as I look at the description of that salad on allears, I see a bunch of other ingredients I'd have to leave off. I don't eat cheese. Or honey. And I would bet the candied pecans are cooked in butter. What's left isn't exactly satisfying. LTT has long been one of the few WDW restaurants with a vegan entrée actually on the menu, and I'm disappointed to see that going away.

My husband requested dinner from here for out December trip, now I am thinking of switching to lunch so the kids and I can get others things if we want, is there any downside to that? Is the atmosphere very different for dinner and lunch?

No difference in atmosphere.

For anyone who is eaten at LTT with the new menu and with the dining plan, can some members of your party order a la carte and some order the AYCTE on DDP? It says "served family style" on the menu, so I'm concerned if one of us orders it, they will make all of us order it.

That is a good question, although I would think it would be odd to make it so everyone had to order one thing, it is strange that they are offered at the same time because of that. I mean what is to keep someone having the AYCTE meal from sharing a bite or two? We always try each others stuff.

I am so disappointed to hear this news! I haven't cancelled our reservation just yet but I will probably have to given the lack of vegetarian options on the menu now. I don't hold out much hope but I did send an email to Disney, voicing my concerns. I am going to miss the Ooey Gooey Toffee cake if we have to skip it from now on :(

Thanks :) I have made a lunch ADR and will decide soon. My one thought on why switched might be a good idea is that right now we have it so we are dinign at LTT at 4:10pm and then we have the dessert party at 9...will we be hungry enough at 9?

I know if I had all you can eat including a dessert I would never be able to eat much at dessert party There are so many things at the party and I loved trying it all. You pay so much for it ... I'd rather do big lunch and if I got hungry later, a snack, like a pretzel.

Yeah this is what I am thinking, plus I can try the much talked about toffee cake if we do lunch, they just need to keep the AYCTE thing for lunch, because it is the only thing my husband requested. :)

Keep your reservation for desert only!

Hold on to both until you get closer and feel sure the lunch AYCTE is still there.

I bet their ultimate goal is AYCTE ALL day and this is step one.

I mean keep your reservation at LTT for desert only. Have a quick serve for lunch then have a nice desert at LTT.

Oh, I am sorry I misunderstood. The whole reason we are going to LTT is my hubby wants to have the AYCTE feast thing there, so we couldn't do just desert, but now we can do it at lunch as opposed to dinner.
