I've been looking at their website and I'm a bit confused. :confused3

I want to take my 5 yr old here for her birthday and want to get her a hair/makeup present. Is that the 'Shop til you drop' package?

Does anyone know the options for the hair and makeup. I've heard princess, rock-star, and Hannah Montana. What are the other ones?

Also, does anyone know why the place is called Libby DU and their URL is LibbyLU?

So many questions!

Hi,

I don't know much about it, but I know the name is Libby Lu and the hairstyles are called Libby Du(s) ;)

I have taken my daughter there several times over the years! Yes, the store is called "Libby Lu", but they refer to the hair styles as "Libby Du's". There are always several different packages you can get. It always seems different every time we go. The basic package that is only about $20 is actually fine-they do hair, make-up, nails, and you get a Libby Lu string backpack which you get to pick a few items to put in (like lip gloss, etc..). Then, if you want to spend more you can go from there. I know last time we were there they had perfume packages, etc.... It just comes with more stuff, but the hair/make-up is the same. Also, most styles come with something for the hair. Like princess comes with a tiarra they put in the hair. If you want hair extensions, you have to buy them separate, although they may have a package that includes one. One of the packages we did one time was the pet one (not sure what it's called). You got the style/make-up, plus you picked out a pet, bag to carry it in, and so many accessories for it (the pets were all small dogs). Otherwise we've always done the base package. I know some of the styles are princess, rock star, movie star, and hannah. They turn out cute, but just to be clear, it is a basic "kid" makeover. The hairstyles are basically some form of twisting the hair up and using lots of glitter hair spray, and the make-up is a quick basic eye shadow and lip color, and the nails a quick one coat paint-nothing fancy or necessarily even neat. My daughter loves it, though, and it does come together cute. :)

Do you need to do reservations?

And do they do anything super funky like the barber salon in DW? I soo wanted to find something like that at DL, the confetti, color, and funky stuff.

And (sorry) did you go before the park opens so that she was all "princessed-up" for the day (we've been watching Twitches a lot).

Right now we are looking at doing a $30-$60 weave of tinsel into my DDs hair before we come and praying it doesn't fall out.
