LGB Airport

Shhh...we love this airport and kind of like that not many people use it...

We can always get great fares from Salt Lake City to LGB, like $178 RT. We have used it several times, and I love that it is almost like a "temporary" tiny airport and the rental cars are like 50 feet from the terminal! It's SO easy!

This Oct we are flying into SNA b/c we used FF miles so it didn't matter too much, but I would chose LGB again in a heartbeat when we are paying!

Does anybody know if they offer a shuttle service out of LGB to Disneyland like they do with SNA and LAX? We do not plan to rent a car and are trying to avoid lugging the carseats if possible. When we use the Greyhound service out of SNA, we do not need to take them. Is there a comparable service out of LGB? Thanks in advance for your help!

The only thing I have seen out of LGB is Super Shuttle and taxis. We are not renting a car and are taking 2 carseats with us for the shuttle ride to Disneyland. I don't think there are any "big" bus type shuttles out of there. It is a pain to lug around carseats just for a short ride to and from DL, but they are safer in them!

LGB doesn't have the number of flights and tourists to make a big bus profitable IMO. That's good news/bad news, mostly good news, also IMO. We've used Prime Time Shuttle from there, and the driver took the 14 mile straight shot down Wardlow/Ball Road to get near our home.

it isn't an hour away from disney it is a straight down one road if you don't get on the freeway and it took us about 45 minutes to get to GC and that included getting rental car and stopping at store for some water! I think it is easier that John Wayne for you don't have to mess with freeway.
