Hay you all, just wanted to join in my DS is a weight watcher lecturer in the North Shore area. Her name is Joann. Anyone know her?

I don't know where in NY you live, but I wouldn't be caught dead in LaGuardia or Kennedy. I use Islip/MacArthur. What a wonderful little airport! What part of NY are you from?

I am from the Bronx, that is the closest airport.

What heppened on Tues 07/18 was a very strong line of thunderstorms came from N NJ across Staten Island, thru Queens and across Long Island. There were no tornados but the storms exploded with high winds, trees and light poles down and torrenetial downpours and a lot of power out. Remember that this area previously had been in the high 80's to mid 90's with high humidity. Kinda like Orlando weather.

What I am saying is that it has nothing to with JFK or LGA or any airline. It was an act of (politically correct) some sort of higher power that might be god like but we dont know.

I have used JFK recently and have had NO PROBLEMS. LGA is not high on my list - do not like those short runways into Jamaica Bay.
