Levi and Bristol, shouldn't they get married?

I'm no expert on traditional family values, but I just saw Levi and Bristol on the news and it made me wonder - shouldn't they be married by now? Isn't that the way it's done in conservative circles? Ok, they succumbed to temptation and had premarital sex, we've all been there. But 5 months down the road, if they are really planning to get married, why aren't they married by now? Is City Hall closed? Is Sarah Palin's shotgun out of order? I don't get it. I think somebody's trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

It is none of our business, but I think I know a valid, good reason. If they marry she won't be on the family's insurance anymore. I don't think Levi has a job where insurance is included.

none of anyones business. I would rather them wait and make sure they are sure than jump into a marriage because she is pregnant

Generally speaking, I feel anyone of any age should think long and hard about getting married just because there is a baby on the way. But what ever choice they make, it's their choice and they're the ones that will live with the results. Not only do I not care, it's none of my (or anyone else's) business. At the end of the day it doesn't affect me, even if Palin becomes VP.

I really didn't make it clear in my post, but what I meant to say is: I believe we are being LIED to. Levi and Bristol have NO INTENTION of getting married. I mean, if they were getting married, they would be married. What are they waiting for? The birth of the baby?

Oh in that case. I have heard they are going to have a double wedding with John Edwards and his mistress

Seriously, really is this this any of your business

No people, when our leaders lie to us, IT IS our business. Sorry to keep flogging a dead horse, but we have a RIGHT to the truth. Sarah Palin lies right to my face and I'm going to sit here and take it? NO WAY!

Nope.. doesnt mean squat. I waited until my son was 8 months old to get married.

I hope they do get married, and I believe Sarah Palin when she says they will. Statistically, babies born out of wedlock do not fare well later in life. I know people don't like to hear that, but it's true. Much of what plagues our inner city today — high crime rates, high likelihood of young men going to prison, high drop-out rate, poor literacy, obesity, drug abuse, sex abuse, child abuse, and multi-generational poverty — can be traced directly to the climbing illegitimacy rates in those same communities. Being born out of wedlock — and its coinciding paternal abandonment — is tragic for most children.

Like so many other things, our wise grandmothers were right when they said "Get married!"

Marriage isn't going to change anything other than to cost them both a fortune if it doesn't work out. They should concentrate on being the best parents they can be to this baby and seeing how their relationship develops.
