Will we miss not doing Roundup Rodeo BBQ?

Can anyone confirm that Nomad Lounge, Columbia Harbor House, and Pecos Bills do NOT take advance reservations?

Wow! That's quite a line up!! You are correct in that Nomad, CHH, and Pecos Bill's are quick service and do not have ADR as a possibility. I wouldn't "correct" any of your choices as they are all similar to our favorites as well. On 7-2, are you staying in Disney Springs for dinner as well? There are so many good choices there, but our favorites are Boathouse, Chef Art Smith's Homecomin', and Frontera Cocina. There are many other great restaurants possibly suited more to your liking. On 7/5, (Oga's) just know there is no food (there is kind of a chex mix thing, but not 'food'), so you may want to grab a quick service at lunchtime. Oga's can be a difficult to get so good luck with that one. Space 220 on 7/4 is similar in it being very difficult to get a reservation. But...hey...go for it, but I'd have a "Plan B" just in case. Sci Fi can be difficult too, but you never know....obviously, SOMEBODY gets it, so it may as well be you. Good planning on your part! I hope you have a marvelous trip!

Thank you so much for your response!!! I really truly appreciate someone weighing in.

I’m not sure how long we will stay at Disney springs on 7/2. Homecomin’ was on my watch list so I may get reservations just in case.

I realized Oga’s didn’t have a lot of food but I didn’t realize it had nothing. I think I thought it was light bites. We’ll plan for a QS for lunch then Oga’s mid afternoon for a break.

Space 220 and Sci Fi I am booking both at 60+10 so I hope my odds are ok. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Where are you staying —helps with advice for non park days. Are there kids?

The 4th in Epcot will be crazy busy. In my head I just went back and 4th between thinking having 2 reservations is a good idea, and thinking they will be running late and overwhelmed and that Iit would be double the frustration. I saw a video from Paging Mr. Morrow on the dance parties at Epcot on the 4th, and I think one was outside Rose and Crown? And really loud? For calm on the 4th if you can’t get Space I might book Coral Reef right when it opens for lunch, which would get you by the tank and less busy.

For AK, you might discover you love Nomand Lounge so much that you dump Yak &Yeti. If price isn’t and object, then I would do Tiffins instead of Y&Y.

I personally wouldn’t do Sci Fi and 50s Prime time on same trip and on one of those, I would try to Skyliner to Topolinos or other non park restaurant.

Oga's has some sort of snacks but nothing much. My family had the best time there though, from 10 to 74 years old, it was a big hit!

My family seems to be the only one that doesn't care for Pecos Bill, we've tried it a few times because it was convenient but we've never cared for the food.

Getting the fireworks package on the 4th of July is going to be a tough reservation to get. You may want to come up with an alternative for that.

I figure it will be hard. I will be at 60+10. Do you think that will help?

I concur, I wouldn't do Oga's for lunch. They have the themed equivalent of a charcuterie board and it was ok. Honestly it was a one and done for me (which shocked me). Maybe I'm just getting to that point in life where I don't want to be a in a loud sticky bar crammed next to people I don't know. But college me would have LOVED that place.

Yes, that will help immensely. I would also consider the Rose and Crown dining package - we did it a few weeks ago and I was surprised at how good the food was.

Just a word on Les Halles - be prepared for a very long line. It's worth it, but it can be time consuming and it's sometimes very difficult to find a place to sit in there.

All those are good except for Sci Fi, a lot of people love it, but my daughter and her husband got really sick eating there! But to each their own! Enjoy… whatever you decide to do

Disney can't seem to do BBQ right so we don't eat at Flame Tree or any of the other BBQ spots. Yak and Yeti quick service is better. Their Tikka Masala is good.

Oga’s is fanastic but just know seating is limited and most people have a standing spot. It’s a nice break from the heat but you’re not guaranteed a seat!

You may like Docking Bay so much, you’ll want it again! That Ronto Wrap is the jam.

Great lineup! MK on 7/3, you might want to do Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch. I feel like you'll need one sit-down table service meal that day as a nice air conditioning break to get out of the heat. LTT has good food and is reasonably priced. Daily table service air conditioning breaks are critical for me and my crew in hot months. Also, for the Dessert Party - you can pick up your dinner from anywhere and bring it with you to the Dessert Party. Lots of people (including me) grab Casey's Corner because it's right there close by, and bring it to their table at the Dessert Party. Turn that Dessert Party time into Dinner & Dessert!

Great lineup and concur with your thoughts on where reservations are required. I like Nomad so much that I might move that up to a lunch in order to ensure you get to try it if you're doubting you'll stay for dinner. Woody's Lunch Box is cute but it's outdoors and seating is incredibly limited. For a Sunday in late June, I'd probably opt for a quick serve where you can get some AC and not stress about finding a table. My fave is Docking Bay 7 but have been hearing good things about ABC Commissary recently. I really enjoy Yak and Yeti and it's really become a lot more popular and harder to snag a reservation. For that reason, you might consider getting a Landry's Select Club card - they accommodate walk-ups for card holders (there could be a wait) or you can call the restaurant directly and they'll make a reservation for you, even if the Disney site is showing no availability. You do have to purchase the card but you get an immediate credit for the same amount and there is also a $25 credit in the month of your birthday. bluezoo has historically been one of my favorites but I've heard some feedback recently that it's gone down in quality. I haven't made it over to try for myself. If looking for seafood dinner in that resort area, I think Flying Fish is another good choice.

One other question on 6/24 AK, with Y&Y QS. Where are you going first? For most either Pandora or Safari. Y&Y is in Asia towards Everest and will burn a lot of early time unless you are starting with EE. If going to FoP, I’d eat breakfast in room, and grab a snack at Pongu Pongu, which has a savory breakfast biscuit and lumpia—pineapple and cream cheese in a wonton wrapper.

If going to safari, then Kusafiri Bakery on the way has a savory biscuit and breakfast sweets.

That’s a really good point. I’ll have to think this through. Thanks for the input.

Great line up of dining, OP:
We always get Yak and Yeti QS while in AK. The honey chicken is a favorite of mine.
We also eat at the Y & Y sit down restaurant and are never disappointed. We even try to eat there at least 2 times a visit. Your choices are great.
A good word for Sci Fi: It is one we go to every visit to HS and love the ambience and the food is always good, too. I would give it a try if I was you. It's worth it to see the silly old sci fi movies.

Good choices, and echoing what many have already stated: Yak & Yet is always a must for us when at AK. Sci-Fi has decent food, good AC and fun throwback Sci-Fi movies. Les Halles seating very limited so more than likely that time of year you will be eating outside. Don't love Pecos rather have Casey's if doing QS or take a nice boat ride over to Grand Floridian and eat at GF Cafe, love that place.

It looks like a good list, but for us, it would be too much food.
We generally eat light in the room for breakfast, do QS for lunch and often a signature for dinner.
FYI, Oga's has next to nothing for food except for over priced charcutier boards.
the other issue I see is the number of restaurants that may charge you a no show fee if you don't show up and don't cancel soon enough.
i would switch CHH, make it lunch (go up to the 2nd floor to sit) and Skipper Cantina, make it dinner.
