I received a letter from Virgin today as my holiday has to be paid for by June 1st. It was a very informative letter but one sentence just jarred when I read it as it sounded a little bit threatening.

"We must receive your payment in full by the due date. Please be aware that failure to do so will result in your booking being cancelled at the appropriate charges and we're sure you don't want that to happen!"

:lmao:

It would have been better if they'd stopped before the last "and".

That's an odd tone to use. They use the formal language of contracts and then shift into a sort of jocular 'ticking off', lightening it with an exclamation mark. Weird. :confused3 They be putting 'lol' at the end next.

I got that letter today as well

Could have been worse - it could have said, "or we will send the boys round!"

:lmao:

They've been using similar terminology like that for years - just another endearing feature of Virgin 'Corporation';)

Not Virgin but my father got a letter from Jetsave wanting him to enjoy a holiday in Florida this year. He died 5 years ago so I think he will have to pass on this offer.
