Does anyone know how DCL figures the cost of the upgrade at port? I know it is based on availability. We're currently booked in 11B but I'm really wanting cat 5 (or higher). I'm just wondering a price range so I can work it in to our budget.

    1) We paid for and were assigned 5D.
    2) Disney Dream - October 18th - 3 night
    3) Our arrival time was scheduled for 11am.
    4) We actually arrived at 10:45 am via Alamo rental shuttle.
    5) We were only offered 1 Bedrooms, which is what we wanted:) $750 offered and accepted!

The upgrade was such a great value, and the Concierge experience on the Dream was much better IMHO than on the Wonder. We were able to snag Cabana #1 at CC thanks to the fantastic Concierge staff. We all enjoyed the Concierge Lounge daily for breakfast and happy hours. If anyone has questions, I'd be more than happy to answer:)

Hoping to upgrade at the port, specifically to a Royal. We have a party of 16 and I think all the space would be great.

Please realize that there are only 2 Royal suites per ship, and are usually never empty. YOu should check your cruise to see if it is available before you go. Also realize if you are on one of the new ships, that your other party members won't have access to the concierge floors.
