Let's track the EB PC cruise here

We didn't see too much blatant misbehavior, although we did run into teens clogging up the stairwells as they used the stairs for chairs quite a few times. I have a simple way to handle that. I just yell, "Coming through" and if they're smart they'll take that as fair warning. ;)

One day a group of tween discovered the secret aft stairway and were back there between decks 5 and 6 screaming up a storm. Constant yelling for 20 mins. till I thought their throats had to be sore. That was enough of that...I called Guest Services for someone to shag them away because I treasure the quiet of that area and was not about to let that become know as a tweenie hangout. Getting rousted once did the trick...we never heard them there again for the rest of the cruise.

The tweens were definitely a rowdy bunch this cruise. I heard the screaming deck 5 forward so they must have moved my way after they were busted aft!!!

The sitting on the stairs was getting a bit old by the end of the cruise. I should have tried your method, my loud and clearly heard "Can't they find anything else to do?" didn't make them move an inch :sad2:

I am jiminyC_fan's DD. We had an amazing honeymoon and definitely a TOAL. The weather didn't bother us one bit. We didn't notice anything with the tweens and teens but we were in our own little honeymoon world!!!! We were on Deck 2 and at night hung out on Deck 3 so never saw the craziness that happened with the teens! Thanks to all who posted all the pictures, it was fun to see!!!

It was rough getting off, but DH and I just hung out on Deck 4 and watched the turtles and crowds getting off the ship.

We also used Disney transfers and onboard airline check in, I didn't know we wouldn't have to look for our luggage but thankfully we did because they missed one of our bags that were marked to go to the airport but was still at the Port!!! Thankfully all 4 made it home with us.

Did you hear the weird PA announcement where they asked for the whereabouts of a particular passenger or anyone who knew his whereabouts? If that rumor was true, I wonder if he was the "problem child."

All I know I posted yesterday while we were waiting to get off, I was told by another passenger, ( one person- so unconfirmed) that the delay getting off was caused by a missing foreign national who was later found and escorted off, and I didn't post this yesterday, but I was told at Gunpoint.

Yesterday I thought it was best not to post the 'gun' as it was 'unconfirmed' but as a few similar posts have appeared, I can clarify thats what I was told.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if that rumor was true and was indeed the reason for the delay. I know they did have a lot of luggage, but I imagine last year's transatlantic was similar and it was still a smooth disembark. Monday was so totally unlike DCL that there had to be something else playing in to mess it up that badly. In 63 cruises, the only time I've ever experienced anything close was shortly after 9/11. Otherwise it's usually a breeze...maybe a short line/wait, but never, ever two hours!

Yea, it was a HUGE line, but I just had DW and kids hang out near Guest Services while I waited and then they joined me as we left. The Luggage consideration makes a lot of sense, plus we had just come from Mexico, Columbia, Panama, etc so they may have been a little tighter on checking things.

My problem is I can not stop singing;
"Wave your hands in the air! I say Bing! you say GO! Bing - Go Bing - Go!!"

Man I needeed that 28k to pay my bar tab! Oh well lots of overtime comming.
:rotfl:

Almost forgot - we are Vacation Club Owners!!!!! Woooo Hoooo
I assume you were the winners of the $28k bingo the 2nd highest payout on DCL ever and one of the biggest on any cruiseline, and YES the biggest payout was on the W/Bound repo in May $31k?Congrats.

Man, we joke about DCL taking us off "kicking and screaming" but this...WOW. I can't imagine what someone would do that would require being "escorted" off at gunpoint. Holy heat failure Batman!

yes some of the kids were bad on this cruise. a few times i go to get on the elevator all the buttons are pushed for every floor. hanging out in the stairs all the time. lets not forget about the parents taking their kids to cove cafe. and the nightclubs past 9 oclock, the workers should of said something.

Yes I encountered the 'all elevator' lights lit up many times on this cruise once with just one kid on the lift, and I asked if they wanted to go to each floor? This was a great cruise, but the first time I encountered on a DCL cruise this regular bad behavior from kids most -teenage. I have read about it here but not encountered it.

September 1 - Disney Magic

Disney Cruise Line From a passenger: Hi...just got off the 15 day cruise from LA to Orlando, through the Panama Canal. Great cruise!! About 6 nights ago, however, there was a "Bright Star" call over the ship's PA directing crew to "deck 4 midship". When I asked a crew member what this meant, they sort of shrugged it off. I asked our room purser the following day and he told me that someone had tried to "jump off the ship from deck 4". The person was stopped and taken off the boat the following day while at port in Aruba. Also...when we docked, the boat wasn't cleared by US customs for a about 3 hours while they searched for a single missing foreign born passenger on the ship. Otherwise...great trip on a great cruise line!

Pluto, were they not enforcing in the clubs and Cove? We didn't spend much time in either of those, but the adult pool was kid-free whenever I was there and for the first time ever they appeared to be enforcing the adults-only entertainment series stuff.

If you ever see that and the crew isn't doing anything, don't be afraid to speak up. A simple, "Isn't this supposed to be an adults only area?" is usually enough to spur them into action.

There was a kid that tried to get into the Quiet Cove pool, but Ernan ran him off. I did see a little girls sitting in the cove cafe a few times sitting on the bar stool. I also saw a lot of kids walking though the Cove Cafe with their parents.

WE heard that too and saw people rushing out the doors during our dining time. we asked the head server about it- but he also shrugged it off. I had no idea it meant someone tried to jump off deck 4. Why in the world would anyone want to jump OFF the Disney Magic? I could maybe see trying to jump ON it before it sails off from PC... but jump to get off the ship? they must have been drunk or something. LOL

Encountered that as well.
We're so naive at first we didn't even think it was kids doing it... we figured people just couldn't make up their minds where they wanted to go and got off somewhere. We're slow I guess- took us awhile to figure out kids were pushing buttons on the elevators. LOL

We DID however notice the last couple of days all the announcements about keeping kids from running in the halls and on the stairwells.... and thought it odd that they even commented "for parents to set an example for their children". Does that mean parents were also running up and down the hallways? LOL

I don't know about that, but sadly there were plenty of times when one or both parents were sitting on the stairways with the kids. :confused3 Sigh! I guess it must be genetic.

There were certainly some obnoxious tweens and teens on the cruise, but they weren't everywhere all the time. They really didn't effect us that often. My DH purposely "bumps" into them when they are on the stairs ;) We rarely use the elevators, so we didn't encounter that problem. One night there was an unsupervised child trying to throw paper airplanes into the Chihuly sculpture above the atrium.

The kid probably got on top of the elevator on deck 6. The lobby area goes all the way behind the elevators and there is just some plexiglass - maybe 8 ft high around the shaft. If wouldn't be too hard for a group of kids to lift one up there to climb on top. We noticed kids hanging out in that area a lot early in the cruise, and after we heard about the elevator thing there were rarely any kids there and we noticed security people walking through there pretty frequently (our room was near there).

We did not see any kids in the Beat Street lounges after 10pm - and we were there nearly every night. Sometimes, you would see a few walking through to the stairs. The only time I saw a group of young teens try to linger (at the window seats) they were chased out by the staff. I didn't go to Cove Cafe, so I can't comment on that. The 2 or 3 times I made it to the adult pool, there weren't any kids (but there were some very childish adults!)

I would like to say that there were many VERY well behaved kids on the cruise in all age groups. Unfortunately, we all tend to notice the troublesome ones the most.

I find all these stories so interesting. We have encountered the elevator pushing and the stair sittings on several cruises. Unfortunately, I mumble to myself and move on. Maybe I should do more! I would love to know the absolute truth about the foreigner onboard. How did he even get on?

They didn't say anything to the 8-10 teens who were brought into Sessions around 11:30 on the night before CC. The dad had been one of the people faking during the hypnotist show and said something about if they don't like it he would take them to RNBD. The only under 18 person I saw at the adult pool was AJ but I think that everyone knows that there is no way she could have hung out at the Goofy pool.

One of our friends went up to deck 10 and found teens actually sitting in the doorway of the elevators talking one night early on in the cruise. He told them what he thought of that since there were people waiting on the elevator who really needed it.
