Now that my wedding date is set I can start thinking of the rest of the week! I've done Disney my whole life but I feel there is so much I don't know. We'll be there from Dec 26th-Jan 4th and I know the crowds will be unbelievable. Aside from the typical park hopping to favorite attractions, what can we do to make our honeymoon more magical? Do we do the Candlelight Processional or a Fantasmic! dinner package? (Having never done either.) Do we try some tours? (Recommendations?) It's just going to be so busy and we want some non-traditional park hopping plans. :confused3

Also- New Years Eve plans?! We were there once but the crowds were so overwhelming and it was his first time that we just stayed in the villa and went to bed early. Regrets much? What does the World have to offer?

We'll be on our Disneymoon then too!

We won't be arriving until December 28th though.

We've never been to Disney before so I don't have any advice for you, I'm just excited to find someone else on their Disneymoon at the same time. :)

Wow. It is so expensive to stay there during that week. I recommend doing things that would take you away from the crowds, such as a tour. Keys to the kingdom is either 5 or 7 hours and includes lunch. There's another one called backstage something, maybe backstage magic. Wild Africa trek at animal kingdom would also be good.

If you don't think you'll be there again for New Year's Eve, then do try to catch a fireworks show. We wanted to last year, but we weren't on property and the crowds looked really overwhelming. If you're staying at an Epcot resort, then take advantage of that location and see the New Year's Eve fireworks at Epcot and not having to get transportation afterwards. I think dhs might have fireworks too, but I'm not positive. If they do, they're typically pretty spectacular and there are fewer people there.

Yay! Congratulations! I'm excited but a little wary of the nightmare crowds. I guess I just keep thinking it's DISNEY! How could I not have a great time?!

I recommend doing the Candlelight Processional dinner package. DH and I did that when we were there for Christmas and loved it. Resort hopping to see all the different gingerbread decorations was fun as well.

They have a couple Christmas-themed tours. Also, Fort Wilderness will have a horse-drawn sleigh ride. It takes you through the woods where the RVs set up and they have Christmas Decorations like you would not believe.

Try to visit as many resorts as you can to see their decorations.

I watched the MK fireworks from the poly beach on NYE in 2009, music was piped in and it was not crowded

I was there as well :goodvibes

We married/disneymooned at WDW at Christmas as well. We went to DHS on the 28th and it wasn't too bad crowd wise. We went to Epcot on the 29th and it was very busy. We did the Candlelight Processional dinner package and loved it.

They test the MK NYE fireworks on the 30th so you can catch them that night if you do something else on the 31st and they are well worth seeing as they are AMAZING.

We went to AK on the 1st and it was very quiet. We hit MK on the 2nd and it wasn't too busy either.

The KTTK tour is great. We've also parasailed at WDW which was great fun.
