Please share you experiences with this service at any of the resorts. What were the strengths and weaknesses that you experienced (i.e. great food, little variety, short hours, poor room location etc.).

Thanks!

My wife and I stayed at GF concierge for you honeymoon. It was very nice. There is a large amount of choices daily wich includes wine/other assorted booze. The real fun was hanging out with the lead singer of Bare Naked Ladies. PS This post was just an excuse to let everyont know who we saw :)

He wants to know if it was Ed or Steven??

Anyone else have any experiences to share??

We stayed at the Poly Concierge last November and really enjoyed it.

One of the best things about our experience was being able to go to our room and relax before even checking in. When we arrived, the bell person called and got our room number and since it was on the opposite end of the building from the check-in area, he took us in that door and right to our room.

A close second was being able to go to the lounge and grab breakfast or water for the parks. The food offerings in the morning were more than sufficient for breakfast (pastries, fruit, oatmeal, cereal, milk, juice, etc.). Mid-day they had huge cookies, gummi-worms, and drinks. During dinner time they had things like nachos and veggies. Sorry I can't be more specific, but Tikiman's website can give you more details. In the evening there were desserts and liquor.

I did not find the desk staff particularly friendly. We did not receive our lais (sp?) at check-in and had to go back. They rarely spoke, but we really didn't care very much.

In general, I found the Poly very relaxing. It was very nice to be able to sit out on the beautiful beach and look-out at the wonderful sights. It made me feel like I was in the tropics. I would definitely recommend the Poly Concierge to anyone (especially at a discount).

That was exactly what I was looking for!

Anyone else?

It was Steven Page. He was with his wife and kids. It was hard not being rediculous and crazy when we realized it was him. Very cool indeed.

We stayed at Poly concierge and we loved it. Agree with lovely on eveythingh she had to say but we found the staff to be very helpful. They were able to get us PS for some of the places that we had tried and couldnt. So if you have the money and want all the little extras, especially not having to worry about finding a place for breakfast in the morning, concierge is worth every penny.

I too, loved the Polynesian conceirge. We were there last Sept, and are going again this Oct.

I've stayed concierge at most of the deluxe resorts, so I can help with this!

GF -- Despite some negative reviews from others that I've read here lately, this is still my favorite, by far. The stregnths are an outstanding staff who has always gone out of their way to do whatever they could to make our stays as perfect as possible .. excellent food with a good variety and quantity, and hours. I truly can't say anything bad about this place at all!

YC - I have stayed here just once so far, but I had a pretty good experience here too. I thought the food and variety in the lounge was very good, and the service was too. I didn't really use the PS making services of the cm's, and didn't have any special requests, so I can't comment on that aspect.

Poly - my least favorite. Except for Juanita in concierge (and she's now at AKL doing a wonderful job!) the rest of the cm's were NOT helpful -- in fact, they were downright inefficient and just lax in their attitudes! The food in the lounge WAS nice, that I will say. I didn't care for the room at all..

BWI - We've only stayed here once so far too, post cruise a few years ago, but I loved it! The CM was extremely helpful (I seemed to deal with the same person every time) The food selection was fine as I recall, though since this was a shorter stay, we didn't use it as much as we normally do. We had a one bedroom suite that was really lovely, with one of the best bathrooms I've had at WDW! LOL

AKL - I mentioned Juanita from the Poly working here now, and imho, she is their best assest!! It's been my experience, in two long stays there now, that she is far and away the most efficient, as well as the most friendly! The food selection is very good!! The concierge rooms proximity to the lounge *is* a bit far, but all in all, I'd say it's worth it!
