Lets Talk - Aerosmith Rock N Roll Rollercoaster!!!

We were just soooooo excited to come up and
see everyone (as always)!!! Special surprise is
Michael, Corey and Robin joined in this weekend!!

Well, Friday night we had a great time as always
with our surprise friends joining in Michael, Corey,
Robin and our pin buddies Manny, Michelle, Donna,
June, Ed, Bob, Winnie, Fred, Jim and Heather. We
even got to see Halland, Steven from Germany and
many others. We saw quite a few new pin traders
and alot of old friends it was a very nice. Then
we went over and relaxed and visited we even had
some great Brazilian candy, it's a must!!!!

OK, NOW, we went to the Annual Passholder evening
at the MGM Tower of Terror and Aerosmith event........
My husband LOVES rollercoasters and I am the designated
watcher of kids and shopping bags. So, this trip I decided
to go on Test Track at Epcot and that I would ride the
Rock N Roll Rollercoaster (I always wanted to do it for my
husband so that I could go on the roller coasters with
him) WELL, we all proceed (Michael, Michelle, Manny,
Michael C, Corey, First timers Dana - Me, my son Justin
(I was soooo shocked, Winnie and Fred) I am sorry
if I forgot anyone, I am still trying to get over the ride!!!
P.S. I was warned by June, but, I was determined to try
it.

Michael and Corey were in front of us and then we had
My Michael and Justin in the front and Me and Michelle
were behind them (**I still am soooooooo sorry for
the poor nail marks in Michelles left hand). Everyone is
screaming and giving high fives as we enter and yelling
first timers and everyone is yelling and getting ready to
go. We get in and Michelle tells me to make sure my
bars are nice and tight and we are psyched!!! WE TAKE
OFF 0 - 60 (believe it or not that I LOVED!!!) But, that
was it I was then in the state of shock right after that!!!
I guess you had to be there to really understand SHOCK!!!

Then we finally stop (and by the way it is not 2 minutes long!)
Everyone proceeds to have their safety bars go up and YES
YOU GOT IT!!! Mine do not, well being my first time I was still
in shock remember, I got a little carried away! I was not
to calm (sorry), but I thought the cars were going to take
off again and that I was stuck going on this insane ride again
I was sooooooooooo OMG!!!! Michelle finally got a CM to
help, I really could not get out, Michelle even tried. I was
shaking and could not wait to see night light

We get outside and JUSTIN my son loved it and was ready
to go again, ME, well my riding days are officially over and
I am ok sitting on the waiting wall - Brittany is not a ride person
either, we will stay with "THE LAND". But, I thank everyone
for going with me I WILL NEVER FORGET IT. and just think
my ring is somewhere in AEROSMITH ROLLERCOASTER for
a memory

Oh, June I promise to listen to you!!!!! But I still can not
get over you liking TOWER OF TERROR!!! Oh, and Michael
now can say that he rode the JUMP SEAT on Tower of Terror.
And I thank Robin and Winnie for the cold water and the
hand holding

WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND!!! We really mean it!!!!

Cant wait to see everyone soon!!!!!

I still CANNOT believe you rode that thing....Even I , who love Space Mtn.(which sadly I can't ride anymore) and all the coasters, but the RR is one I was bumped from too...I can do TOT , and I love that, but I do agree, you are better off w/ the kids, if they don't desert you for the coasters...LOL

And trust me, If I had been there, between June and I you would NEVER have gotten on that ride....so there...

Hope you will forgive them and come back soon

at the waiting wall. I have been watching Michael
more than 20 years ride the rides and I must say
I am happy on the wall

Yes, Donna, Brittany & I will be sitting with you and June, Donna,
Robin, Winnie, Camilo and Binky. We can have coffee, pin
trade and wait for the group of rebels to come off the ride.......

Lori, I am sure they will save you a seat, they all really
love it, you got me on this one.

But No, we can not wait to come back!!!! Nothing can
keep us from the world!!! Counting Down!!!!

I love that ride - my students and i went on it multiple times last week - and this from someone who never gets on anything fast or high at the local Six Flags... must be something abut Disney that gets me to try. Good for you for doing it!! Caroline

I understand being "stuck" on Rock 'n Rollercoaster! One time we rode it & when it stopped, the bars did not go up on my side. I was panicky. My husband told a CM. The CM just looked at us & offered no help. I was not happy when I finally got out of the ride & reported the CM to a supervisor.

Anotehrtime the seat belt would not release on Star Tours. the CM asked me nicely if I would mind riding it again . Of course not! By the time I rode it a second time the maintenance CMs were there. Apparently this was not new to them . Those CMs got our compliments fordoinga good job!

I still cant believe that you rode RnR Dana!!! When you told me Sunday that you did, I was in shock!!! Wish I could have seen the look on your face when you hit the first inversion!!! *sigh* I miss RnR...been a while since Ive ridden it...anyone wanna go? Raul...pagin' Raulandpinboy...care to go ride RnR again?!? Maybe we can break our record of 8 times in one day.

R&R is one of my favorite rides at WDW. That and of course Small World.
I did the same once with a friend of mine. I took him on the ride for his first time. He got off, sat on the chair they have for the CM at the exit and didn't move. I think at least 4 more cars emptied before he could get up and walk. He vowed never again, but the next trip I got him on TOT. He loved that, but will never do R&R again.
I took him to Cedar Point once. what a dud. I love the coaster, the more inversiions and G time the better. ANything that makes ME weightless is good. Peggie

I get sick on the Carousel - needless to say - I love the Aerosmith preshow - and then I do the chicken door.

I think I know where all the chicken doors are.

I think if I would try any of the coasters it would be an ugly day at Disney World - for sure I would get sick and embarass myself.

Give me "It's A Small World" anyday.

First, yes Ed, Small World, The Land, Figment - Imagination,
Believe it or not, I would do Test Track if I was in a crazy
moment (no laughing please, that is really pushing it !)

Darlene, I am sure there are tons of us out here that
would love a map of these chicken doors

AMBER!!!!! You and Ed 8 TIMES in one day on Aerosmith????
We want to be there when the record is broken!!!! I will
make sure Donna and JoAnn and June and I will go have
lunch and count and watch all of you try to break the record!!!

Thank you for all for the support!! Those who really know

BUT, That was our 2-3-4-5 minutes of Disney OMG screeming
(no voice left - that in itself I hear my friends going - is a
definite she must of really been terrified and a challenge in
itself)

I can't believe you did it. I am really proud of you. Now since
you have done that you can definately try Tower of Terror!!
Believe me it is not that bad and you know I love it so it can't be that bad.

I don't think Bob will be going on Rockin Roller Coaster again too
soon. He hurt his back. Oh well I tried to warn him too!!!!

We did have fun though and I can't wait for you guys to get back
up here. I promise we will take better care of you next time.

What can I say except that it was BY FAR the most memorable ride on R&R I have ever had. Even though I was two cars ahead of you I could hear you screaming

Im sorry you didnt like the ride. Glad I wasnt the one who talked you into riding it. Not mentioning any names of the person responsible (michelle). Anyway, sorry you didnt enjoy it. -- for that matter, SO is the CM guy who tried to help you out of the harness! I dont think he will ever be the same.

It really was wonderful spending time with you and everyone this weekend. We wish we were there now too!

Can anyone tell me if the Dana's "words" with the CM who wouldn't help her out of the seat were nicer or louder than the "words" Michelle had with the banana boat driver?????
Don't want to bring up a sore subject, but that was one angry woman.
From now on these two are only allowed on Small world and a nice quiet float at Castaway Cay. Peggie

Ok, I have to defend myself. Yes, I WAS her copilot on the ride from HELL, but I DID NOT talk her into it. Her WONDERFUL husband MIchael is solely responsible for that. I DID, however, bribe her son with $10 cash if he would ride. Needless to say, he grabbed the cash and LOVED the ride! Poor Dana, I'll never forget looking over at her during the ride and yelling "OPEN YOUR EYES!!!" She did for a split second and closed them right back tight again and continued screaming bloody murder. Ya'll know what a drama queen she is!!
Peggie, the answer is YES, she was as mad as I was on the banana boat that day, although her life was NEVER in as grave danger as mine was I swear she has a little black cloud over her head. I have ridden RnR at least a 150 times and the bars have NEVER once gotten stuck!! Only to poor Dana do these things happen. I got out of the car and she was yelling "Michelle, GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!" I turned around to help her out and the bar wouldn't move. Her screech started to border on hysteria when the quick thinking CM stepped in and calmly asked her to pull gently on the bars to release them. She did, and they lifted right up. She staggered off the ride and to say she was shaking like a leaf would be an understatement!! All she kept saying was "I can fathom how you people to that and LIKE it!" And to her husband..."HOW COULD YOU LET ME RIDE THAT THING KNOWING HOW BAD IT IS!!....I'll NEVER trust you again!!!!" It took a good 48 hours and SEVERAL hot baths AND Valium/Xanax/Cosmo combos for her to recover fully.
I'm thrilled at least Justin conquered his fear. Now his poor Dad Michael has someone else in the family to ride with while Brittany and Dana chill on the CHICKEN WALL!!! (that's it's REAL name, not the waiting wall)

Yeah Dana, we really rode it 8 times one day!!! My Mom & Donna were off surfin' for pins around the park & Ed & I kept gettin' on & off!!! Who knows, it might have been more than that...!!! Ed, pagin' Ed...pagin' RaulandPinBoy...where is he when you need his opinion?!?

Michelle...next time ya'll go on RnR...I WANNA GO!!! Honey, you know that we have to be on the lookout for more hot guys!!! Do you 'member, I know you 'member!!! If not Ive got 3 Words for ya...YELLOW SHIRT GUY!!! Whoa...be still my heart!!!

P.S. if you all go on RNR in the lobby where they display all that cool old equipment there is in the corner an old model 12 manufatured by none other than......... Drum roll please..... The Rauland Borg company and it still very proudly says Rauland on it.

Ok, It was ME who decided to go on (I did not even
have Cosmo's before making this decision - I probably
would have liked it LOL)

I wanted so bad to surprise my husband who loves
rollercoasters BUT, the answer is : WHAT WAS I THINKING???
I really must say, we were beyond psyched about going
on, that was the sight to see!!! High Tens, Yelling and all
(I wish we had a video - LOL) I was sooooo excited to
be going on (spring break type yelling and hype) and
then just to see me in the next part trying to tear myself
out of the thing and then getting stuck - you just had
to be there.

But, looking back it really was funny, (yes everyone this
is me typing this) BUT, I will be the one to be the head
chicken of the designated CHICKEN WALL with pride!!!
I also do think if we did have video we could have
submitted it to American Funniest Videos - we would WIN!!!!

I am just glad eveyone was there to watch the "show"
and boy was it a show. And I felt like pooh bear with
the little black cloud (THE BARS REALLY WERE STUCK and
I AM STAYING WITH THAT STORY, MISS' JUST PUSH THE
BARS IN A LITTLE AND THEY WILL RELEASE - I DONT THINK
SOOOOOOO)

I now feel very comfortable with my chicken wall support
group and we can not wait to come up there as soon
as possible. Michael now has Justin (what a proud dad
he is) going on rides!!! Let alone RNR???? Still cant
believe it.

But YOU ALL ARE JUST """""THE BEST"""""!!!!!
